Well given a few facts about the au I can give a couple of examples:

Followers under Narinder by the end of the story I wrote have basically been put in prisons and rot, died immediately due to the force of the Old Faith's take over or (if you're lucky enough) could escape but basically left to fend for yourself in a land that is filled with monsters and cultists who want you dead with a fate left unknown.

Sheep/lambs (and those who could be mistaken for such in the beginning), for the most part begin to be hunted down at a dangerous rate by the Old Faith after the death of Mori. You have the potential of living a long happy life but it's also not uncommon for raids to take place to find every last lamb to be brought to the slaughter

So in terms of deaths, it's a bit dependent on where they end up going! I imagine a fighter amongst Narinder's ranks would have been the first to perish in battle or killed in execution to be made examples of

Because of Mori's help, sheep can find peace for a good while but, as we know, they are found in time

Oh btw, my two ocs are a couple, if that matters in some form

Hmm, I then imagine it would probably be a situation of being in a village of sheep for them both as, with what I wrote, they have small communities hidden throughout the lands to keep safe. While Mori is alive, does not allow sheep/lambs within the Old Faith if it could be helped due to the pain that has already been brought. Mori knows they are an acception and doesn't want anyone else hurt.

So, I think it could be a good toss up of those two with either having a village that was found by Old Faith cultists after Mori's demise or they could possibly live well lives! Mori's child lives a well life for example

I love every other bug and I will pick them up and carry em around like nothings wrong

I've even had a few albino praying mantises as pets before that I found in our front yard

Kinda thinking about making an afterlife AU of CotL.

Like, about what happens to the cultists souls when they die?

What happens to the soul of a follower residing in the afterlife, when said follower is resurrected?

How does the Afterlife even look like? Is it split in "Heaven" and "Hell" like in our belief?

These and some other questions are something that bothers me for a while now, so i think ill just go and make my own interpretation.

I like to believe, like in real life, the cultists of different gods believe in different afterlives or even, none. However, as anyone who wields the true power of The Red Crown knows the truth of death, it is actually up to what they can make.

The soul of the dead becomes essentially "dormant" after death unless something happens like interference from Death (ie what happens at the start of the game and any time you die without the possibility of permadeath). The soul, thereupon, can be essentially manipulated as a God sees fit. At least, that's how The Lamb has come to view it as. Cause, of course, it was not always thus.

But the prospect of death, the afterlife and what The Red Crown can do is something that I did wanna explore in Disciples :>

I believe, from what I can say of it, that The Old Faith even if split will teach of the basics of all the factions as there are general beliefs all share but the separation is created by what one puts more of their faith in or what one may want to gain help from.

At least for me, I love learning about different things when I get the little desire for knowledge and when I started my CoTL hyperfixation, I ended up going a bit more into religious studies!

Plus my past hyperfixation's knowledge of various pantheons, namely that from ancient Greece and Egypt, made me wanna combine that into it!!
