I have a great idea for multiplayer for the lore to make sense

Just have to write it down

While I do think that multiplayer could be fun I feel it just wouldn’t make sense with the plot based off what I can tell, because unless there’s a multiverse of some sort with different versions of the Lamb, it just wouldn’t fit with what the devs were doing in a way—they’d have to make up a whole extra plot line for it, and it’s like in a show—sometimes it’s just better to leave off where’s it at instead of just building up piles and piles of sequels, if that makes sense? I dunno, COTL with friends would be cool but it’s just not practical 🤷‍♀️ (SRRY I DONT WANNA SOUND RUDE HERE OR ANYTHING JUST SHARING MY OPINION ON IT )

kallamars curses do less damage but weapons do more

maybe in single player the bishops will allow you to trade crowns and get their abilities

just add it to the crown section of the temple and bam, tweaked stats and a cool new crown

so that you can still have that even out of multiplayer

And if a player dies, next time you would gain a heart you can choose to give it to them, reviving them with it at 1 hp.

Implementing multiplayer into a single player game is always going to be difficult, especially if it wasn't designed with it in mind. Combat would be a nightmare with how frequently it implements slow motion. Either you now need to wait every time someone else charges a spell or heavy attack or you no longer are safe using those moves. Making real-time co-op multiplayer is not feasible

Being able to visit other peoples cults sounds possible, but still difficult. I don't see a reason that they couldn't do that, but I could imagine there being issues dealing with how steam is holding user data. Even if everything is technically possible, it would be a very big feature to add, and the manpower required might be prohibitive for adding it in.

For the slowed time thingy, i would actually go as far as doing it like Fallout 76 did it with the V.A.T.S feature. In singleplayer titles, it always slowed time, while in 76 it does not

Why not? Sounds like interesting concept. They choose quests for leader to do. Leader chose task for them to do (for example orders to cook N particular dishes, catch some fish or bring some particular food and if dungeon is co-op too to follow him and kill N enemies and it increases follower player's loyalty (exp bar) and give some upgrades to damage/speed/ability to carry more stuff in inventory, etc

But all of it sounds more like some separate game

If we’re getting more playable characters, they won’t be a snake and owl. They’d have to be relatives of sheep or have something they reference.
Lamb is a reference to leading a lamb to the slaughter and sacrificial lambs
Goat is a reference to scape-goats.
