My first attempt at speedrunning cotl. Didn't really do any research beforehand, so I do a lot of unnecessary stuff lol. Figured I would just set a benchmark and go from there

Didn't really utilize any cutscene/dialogue skips, picked up too many blueprints, and tried to keep the followers at least somewhat happy which isn't really needed.

After looking it up, it seems some people experienced YouTube breaking up exported twitch vods that were longer than 12h for some reason, not sure why it does that

Because of the amount of RNG in a COTL speedrun, Leshy% is just less of a commitment and rolls the dice fewer times

#

It's like how nobody runs pokemon scarlet/violet on the switch because of lag killing runs, but cotl is a good, complete game

First completed and Second completed Any% NGM Normal Runs. Outside of these runs, I defeated Spider and Squid boss I think 2 times each. And dying I think 40x combined about to those two bosses. Which is to say. A lot of time was spent getting to the bosses, but, not bad time spent in ways since I needed more practise with clearing rooms of those dungeons anyway.

It is a best time in Any% NGM Normal category I think. but. Idk. At same time, I feel like it's very weak, because I didn't know unlocking Heavy_Weapon sermon would give me the whole Sin introduction and seemingly unavoidbly enacting the Sin_Havoc_Ritual, which idk how much time was lost there.

The First run. I skipped doctrine altogether, and tried to do the run with just Lv.1 Weapon. Idk how I feel about that in comparison with having Lv.2 Sermon Weapon. If skip Doctrine altogether, can't use Boss_Heart abilities either. Which. I'm thinking it's better to do Doctrine, cause the teleport out of dungeon ability just makes the run much more versitile for me.
