French translations

Hey !

I just started Tap Titans 2 and... French translations are really bad and weird...

When we're reading something, for example the animation of the first pet we're getting, it says: help. In French, it would be: aidez-moi or aides-moi. But it was translated as: aider, which can be translated as: to help.

And all texts are translated with same mistakes that only Google translate can make.

Currently, they need to be fixed by a translator, and if it's possible, I would participate to these translations ! ^^

We do not all talk English x) I also do not know many words you use in the game. If I need to Deepl each minute a word just to understand stories or whatever I read, where's the gameplay 🤔

If a French game were been translated in English with same all weird mistakes, like the game were not been translated by a human, do the developers respond to English people: "learn French" because the only good translations are in French?
I hope they don't x)

This issue is there for every language, beside English sadly. We have some very weird translations. As an example chest can be translated as a crate but also as a breast... Now we get free breasts in x min if we wait for the 5min timer on adchests
The community has offered help very often already, it just seems a too big project to achieve.
I would like to see the better translations being added slowly but surely. Maybe open a Google doc, give all the English phrases and open a tab per language. Make those phrases set in packs and whenever one is finished you can change 1 or 2 per language per Update. Give access to only 2-5 ppl per language and a role here to know whom to write for, when we find an error.
This is a system that worked for other games already.

First screen:
I don't know what the developers meant, but at the time, "identifiants d'appareil" does not mean a thing 👀 (maybe our user ID 🤔)
Some determinants are missing, and so on.

Same, why is the game polite and so strong at the same time with us 😂
It seems like it does not await our approval, but it forces us to accept by the button "Acceptez", just a lack of an exclamation mark (ironic) x)

Second screen:
They meant: "jump".

In French, it can be translated as "sauter" if our feet are pushing the ground onto fly a little second.
BUT, to skip an animation, (also in English 🤔, btw, what is the developers native language 👀), it's better to use: "passer"

Third screen:
I thought the developers native language was not English but... yes 👀
A text past by, and then another to continue the last one, which is: "or Collect en tuant Titans". Maybe "or" was not meant to be an English word and then it's going to mean "gold" 🤔, and so, the sentence would mean: "Collect gold by killing Titans", which needs to translated as: "Récupère de l'or en tuant les Titans". More Frenchy, isn't it 😆

Fourth screen:
The death one 👀

First text: "Recueillir 30 or pour embaucher un héros!"
Why the fuck is "héros" at the plural form 😭
Fundamental rule: if a variable noun is preceded by singular determinant, then the noun is singular.
"un": singular masculine determinant
"héros": plural masculine noun
Which one do we need to choose 👀 Obviously, the plural form, because there's not only one hero. SO, second mistake:
Why "Recueillir" haven't been conjugated 👀 Also, we do not retrieve (recueillir) things, we collect them, so we (you'll find it ^^) récupère them (yep, a little of frenglish).
Third text's mistake: "30 or"
I think, in English, we do the same: if there's more than one, then the countable word is at it's plural form, SO: "30 ors". Easy!
Fourth mistake: exclamation marks are ALWAYS preceded by a space
Proofreading: "Récupère 30 ors pour embaucher les héros !"

That was the fourth screen's first text, now to the second 👀
Do we really need to lend golds to someone to update our attack 🤔 I think it was intended to be: I need to buy "updates"? to increase my ATK dmg, so the text is going to become: "Avec ton or, achète des améliorations pour augmenter ton attaque !" (totally different, huh ? x))

Do I really need to continue, so you can update all the wrong texts inside the game ?

Devs are mostly Canadian iirc, as the company is there too. They seem to be full remote now, depending on the job section at GH homepage.

It is a very big issue and that's the reason I suggested the step by step system of translating. It's a manual process tho, not automated and needs therefore a bit longer to implement new features and especially more languages.
