#MalwareBytes blocking websites from popping up originating from Blitz?

We get our ads from Google, sadly some can be compromised, but those won’t have any effect on your system as we disallow any interaction that didn’t come from the user itself
What does this have to do with ads? Is my antivirus preventing ads from loading?
No, your antivirus sees the ad given by our supplier (Google) and blocks it as it’s been reported that it’s a compromised website
I see. Thanks for the context.
But this means that without an antivirus, or in case one of these websites is not yet detected by one's antivirus, Blitz would just open these dangerous websites that could harm our system, no?
But the antivirus is blocking it only because blitz is accessing them through the google ad service?
yea
I just got a pop-up myself of Blitz.exe accessing a malicious website. But without my antivirus, this access would not have been blocked and harmed my system, wouldn't it?
no
in the past, ads could control the app, this no longer is the case
we can load ads that have malicious intends yes, but they themselves cannot do anything
like they cannot access anything other than that tiny area that is reserved for them
Okay, I read somewhere that these sites run scripts and I assume these are blocked too then?
correct
Okay, thank you for clarifying it. Blitz is so much better than alternative apps so it's good to hear there's no issue in that regard.
One last thing if you don't mind, do you know why when blitz updates my antivirus goes wild whining about invalid digital signature or something?
I am not sure how exactly it's called in English sorry but it should be something like a digital signature.
@sand rose are you reading what i'm reading?
when blitz updates my antivirus goes wild whining about invalid digital signature or something?
we might've indirected figured out why some peeps are having Apex overlay issues👀
i'm sadly not sure myself if i have to be honest
not having valid signatures by the way is not a big problem, or atleast not from what i know.
Okay, notably it didn't happen just now when I downloaded the Blitz-2.1.65.exe, but last week my norton fired up the warning that "Blitz-2.1.64-to-Blitz-2.1.65.exe" (or similar) was problematic, which I assume was the automated updater downloading that file in the background.
