I use a portrait monitor for Blitz and in the past, the old layout looked fine, but the newer layout just looks off. Could the design team rearrange a few things to be more portrait-friendly and/or have a script that detects when the window is portrait dimensioned?

Portrait is not completely supported yet

keep in mind that this was never a thing in the older versions, so it's like, completely new for us.

I put in a ticket for this. With ads eveything is shifted and off location.

We are aware of the ads layout issue and it's on our todo list

#

we would need to do a UX pass at fixing the portrait issues once we stabilize 2.0 and have other higher priority items out of the way

I would also appreciate if something can be worked out for the app to display better on a portrait mode monitor. Thank you for looking into it.

We have a ticket up to work on with lower priority, once we have some available cycles we'll roll it into a future tech debt sprint!

Any update on this? Its beens awhile.

If something is low prio, you can expect it to take a really long time as we’ve got lots of things in our plate

"Giving an accurate ETA requires significant thinking and planning. We can’t say the first thing that comes to mind because work environments tend to have many changing variables, and nothing is fixed."

In other words, we do not give ETA's as priorities can change.

I understand that, but its simple quality of life bugs like that that make it less desirable to "go pro"

#

Especially when it previously worked without an issue.

When you completely rewrite an app that takes over a year to do so, it’s bound to miss a few edge cases here and there. We’re working through a backlog of bugs and eventually this will get addressed. This is pretty low priority due to the extreme low number of portrait screen users. It is on our radar though and we’ll get around to it
