This is untrue, coins carry over from maze event to maze event (the rainbow ones at least) so you can save up enough to bum rush the maze

Gems come easy actually. Dailies, Relets, Legend Pass, Era saga, weekly dungeons, tasks, and Surveys. What is difficult is not having the urge to spend gems
