takes way longer to get the cells than the egg, you have just been unlucky at this point

so keep farming cells or otherwise you'll be stuck once you have hounen and haven't been farming his cells

it means the monster shares the strengths and weaknesses as that element

All earth monsters are weak against dark, unless if their second element is dark

So to answer your example, dark element is good against it

If the element strengths and weaknesses conflict, the strength takes over

So a nature/magic monster takes less damage from nature and magic, but takes more damage against fire

If that makes sense
