Tips for beginners:

Start a Pandaken farm;

Don't do the adventure map (you'll level up too fast if you do and that's not a good thing), focus on dungeons and events;

Try to get three legendary or mythic monsters as fast as you can to be your first main team for pvp (the easiest way to get them is via breeding and events);

Don't overcrowd your island with (UC), (R), and (S) monsters. Know how to manage the space so that you have only the essential. Legendaries are mostly good for breeding, but you don't need all of them;

Newer monsters are better than old ones (there are exceptions, but the rule still remains);

Your growth rate slows down. If you're new and have almost no good monsters, or ways for farming gold or food and level up too fast the game will adapt the difficulty for your level even if you are weak. Low level players get things more easily. This is the clearest way I can explain it.

Old legendaries can be useful as temporary monsters for your team and they are easy to breed. Vadamagma and Goldfield are the best in my opinion.

They aren't that strong, but until you get mythics they're the easiest reasonably good legendary monsters that you can get fast.

It all depends who you position in the middle of the battleground. If you place hounen in the middle he will get the charge but if you place nebotus in the middle he will get it
