No, it’s not a waste of time. Your breeding trees and hatcheries might as well be put to use at all times. If there are monsters that you need to breed for or eggs for new, unique monsters that need to be hatched, probably good to give those priority. But any time you have breeds/hatches free, might as well collect extra cells for ranking 🤷‍♀️. As you progress, the ability to complete ranking in book pages will be very helpful

I've recently returned to the game after a 2 year break and I'm not sure if my monsters are viable anymore. Most of my mythics are from the blossom Era and I use an attack team with Serpentex, King Atum, and Elvira Demonslayer (sometimes use Shadownya). I've found that I'm losing a lot of battles against monsters lower leveled than mine. Are my old monsters not viable anymore?

King Atum is a great tank so definitely use it 🙂 but stats increase a lot with each generation

so you might want to focus on getting newer ones
