No all you have to do is just go to the web claim it then back to game a screen will pop up and the chest will be opened all automatic

but as soon as i login that claim and the item vanishes

Return back to the game and minimize it clear cache and then start the game again maybe it will help

Or it's already claimed just won't showing that's why restart is necessary
