Ok so here is how u can get mythics:

1. The bounty hunt (my personal favorite) u basically are put on a map where u r supposed to find the fugitive, u try to kill it and if u can, u get 25 gems and some cells, each attack results in 1 cell of a monster from the previous era (multiversal era)
2. legends pass, u basically do tasks to gain points which will give u rewards like food, gold, building time boost etc. the main ones are 1 lvl.7 rune, 5 ancestor tokens and the lamp of choice, u get 3 options, the best is either bookipeerion or Shakespearante, the other, grokmax, is just bad, if u wanna know who is better between the 2, use the website: monster legends competitive wiki, they will give u the answer, or u can buy the pass to get an extreme good monster
3. the current challenge (back to school challenge) u can choose between 3 monsters, the best is probably the middle one but for a starter like u any of them are great (except grokmax from the free legends pass)
4. the cell/egg event, the cell event is better ngl, cheaper and u only gotta wait an extra 2 days, try to get to lvl. 20 to unlock the lab, u need to use gems, to get them
5. the event board, on the right side of ur screen in ml, there is an icon known as the event board, u basically try to get ancestor tokens to get rewards, mythics are also available, give it a try, the mythic available there is really good, u will get ancestor tokens in the legends pass (5 for free and 15 for paid), bounty hunt, tales challenge, equipment challenge and the maze challenge that starts at the beginning of a season

Also race depending on the laps ur team makes

Also, get into a good team that does wars, u will get war coins which u can use to buy mythics
