A decent team comp is

1 controller/healer
1 denier

Runes are important and treasure cave will help hugely in progress if u are willing too spend some money for gems too get summoning tickets from there

Also held items are also important however hard too get good ones

Breeding events do allow for that, but it is usually random and not the newest monsters, your best bet is the upcoming bounty hunt for fairly new mythics, that have recently been pretty good, the monster challenges are also okay ways to get newer monsters, but I would focus on bounty hunt, if you dm me, I’d be happy to help more

Basically you flip tiles for bags, these bags reward small amounts of gems, gold, food, and mythic cells, and most beginners start with that, you can also flip tiles to find fugitives to kill, but it’s impossible for beginners to kill them that early on
