It's a luck based thing, where it's free to enter once a day, u get to choose 1 of 4 pots. After you choose 3 pots (from 3 different sets), one of the pots contains a monster. Getting the monster means that you can choose between leaving the cave (losing everything), and spending gems to continue

This game will never change from this state. there's millions of players spending over thousands of dollars on this game just to spend other thousands of dollars on another era that over creeps the previous era. They know no matter what they do, no matter how bad and absurd the changes are they won't lose players, and that will keep them doing those changes every single week till the game becomes pretty much unplayable unless you spend money. Remember the good ol' days when the developers listened to their players, made good updates, and actually put effort in their games, before the game were bought by a greedy company. God, this used to be my favourite game.
