Speed & team speed. He usually does well going first and applying triple damage to your attack monster. Although sometimes it can make sense to make him go second if you need another monster to do a lot of NER

Negative Effects Removal. Like if you are worried Forge Labs will have a lot of tortures or be stunned/possessed etc you might want another monster on your team to remove those effects.

In general though he is good to go first cause he has an essence relic in case he dies (you can put a revival Essence like Uriel’s essence) and he has a move that does NER+triple damage to an ally so he can set up your main attacker to do very well on their turn.
