When it comes to deciding between the two you kinda need to know what yout team needs and I can kinda help you decide but as far as tanks go, atum is better. Just look them up on the monster legends competitive wiki

Dodge area could work with other mega taunt monsters, but with hiswide range of healing abilities and damage mirror, you kinda want him to take hits

I cant tell if your being funny as in pierce is op or your just trying to be blunt but the competitive wiki says having dodge area with a taunt monster is good, so are some pro players I have watched know YouTube so idk what you are getting at
