2. Not just that, it also encourages less people to buy maze coin packs
3. No company in their right mind would make something less difficult for the sake of people attending school. Those people most likely don’t even have money anyways

I don't think people realise the bigger picture here, SP doesn't give a damn about youtubers' lore, they care about the audience. They contact youtubers with large audiences, most notably kid audiences, and make them join the game, because they're impressionable. This is how they kept their playerbase for so long, because they sponsor influencers. All SP need to do is make a cool design like how kids would want their youtuber to be, and boom, they get sucked into the game. Youtuber monsters are not important to SP, they don't see those monsters as part of the real lore they're building, and so they shove some random wacky lore because let's be honest, kids have way too short of attention span to read the entire thing and realise what's going on.

besides, SP already killed corrupted monsters by removing newly ranked talent slots for them

and if you already owned the monster ranked then you already could beat the titan dungeon when it existed

I think you misunderstand. People quit because they can't compete. Removing the source of progression means people can't compete with those who already got their monsters to those higher ranks.

Being able to rank a monster from R3 -> R4 or R4 -> R5 allows that extra progression. Having an R5 Nebotus, Chi, Pure Pandalf, Pangoliath, Spekthra... is still better than having most of the Metro monsters at R3/4. Going into PvP now and trying to play with an R3/4 Metro monster is going to bring you up against the wall of R4/5 Corrupted monsters (where you can't develop your own any further because you're only getting a pittance in Lutum each week; and you can't use your Nebula because there's not enough of that, if you want to save for the next 'good' Metro monster to get it to a high enough rank to use...)

Corrupted monsters that you didn't already own, yes; but not the ones that you owned but made sure were R1+ before the season ended

I mean, actually, R5 metro monsters don't compete with my R5 corrupted monsters still. And I think my being in top 100 gives me a good basis to know what I'm talking about with this specific comparison, if nothing else

again, if you got the corrupted monsters you wanted during the season you'll have had enough time to get Lutum for them

unless you're stupid and have constantly wasted all your lutum on worthless monsters, you should have more than enough to rank them

also if pvp is too hard for you, then you clearly need to drop a league or two

@tawny magnet "FUGITIVE IN THE AREA" notification seems to occur when the fugitive is in the map, and someone flips a tile very close to where the fugitive is hiding. When you get that notif, best to be prepared

I think it's more based on a (random x-y%, something like 5-10% tiles turned & number of human players in your map. The less players, the more tiles I've had to turn to force the fugitive to pop (I don't think that's a cognitive bias that I personally have turned more, but maybe)

It's not based on tiles turned near the fugitive, the fugitive is not in your map until that notification drops, once it notifies, all arrows will change direction to where the fugitive has just been placed

... Tested, counted, was on a ~400 tile map (27 columns, 12-17 tiles/column), and was exactly 50 tiles turned when fugitive notification popped up

However you had to guess what the combos were, by following specific rules (such as Parents must be same element, parents must not be forsaken/elite etc), and you only had 24 hours to do so.

To use to your advantage, rank an SC: Megataunt monster to R3, but level it to 123 or 126. Enemy might not realise they need PER until it's too late.

@orchid lodge unfortunately, watching those AI run throughs against the fugitive is the only way we can understand the implications of changing monsters, and changing monsters skills, and even changing runes. So yeah, we need the battle animation to stay, even if there's an option to not watch it (which I expect won't be given, as it reduces stickiness for the game).

through watching the AI, I've worked out that setting 1 ET skill on Zenfira is never used in favour of the other three; I've found out that 1 life rune with 2 team strength means Zenfira can withstand 1 hit from the fugitive, whilst 3 team strength means she gets 1 shot; and using Algata often ends up with the wrong monster being buffed, substantially reducing your damage; so using Zenfira/Geckone is much more reliable - however, against positive-effect-buff fugitives, Geckone will prioritise PER instead of doing GDH (so Canine is a better monster vs those) @orchid lodge

it's never always consistent, you're not making a moveset to definitively win, you're making a moveset so you could probably win. Face it, the AI is kinda dumb (with exceptions) and if you made the optimal layout already, why not speed up the battle, get results faster?

Skipping doesn't change the outcome, it just skips the fancy show that you don't control. It's an option that will surely help you as soon as you get your best Fugitive Killer team in order.

I think there's a combination of wanton anarchy; and a base lack of knowledge of what the rules are - when people come here or post feedback for the first time, if they haven't gone out of their way to find out what the rules are... I know a dm from Mari was my first introduction to the rules 🤷‍♀️

don't take this as a disagreement - I wholeheartedly agree - but I've been using discord for 2-3 years as a casual game player, and never knew about pinned messages until MLO - just haven't been in places that make use of that functionality, or was so casually using this program as to not know about it. I'm sure there is a reasonable percentage of people who also aren't aware
