No, to clarify, I want the progressives to be altered in some way so they don't cost exorbitantly more for Australia - OR we have to wake up at 4am for them to cost the same. For Spain, doing the tasks on time means you sleep at midnight and wake up at 8am. For Australia, the Progressive starts at 9pm so the optimal "skip" times always land at least once between 2am and 5am, and often it's multiple times where I either wake in these ungodly hours or I pay upwards of 50 gems if I sleep until 8am

So ... When you collect a token, you then wait X time for the next one to accumulate in your hidden "pool".
The pools are 6 for gold, 4 for food, 1 for breeds/hatches.
If you have 6 gold in your pool (haven't collected for 8 hours), you no longer accumulate any more gold tokens until you collect them.
"Overflow" meant that if you collected before the next one was supposed to drop (8hrs + 1hr19min), you wouldn't miss that next token, it would still accumulate at that 9hr20min mark. So if my breed token dropped at 4am, I could breed at 8am (4hrs late) and my next token would still drop at 4am+8hrs because the timer was still counting.
But now, they stop the timer until the token is collected. So no overflow. If I collect at 8am, my next breed token won't accumulate until 4pm, 4 hours later than when there was overflow.
Over the course of a Tales progressive, this can mean it costs 50 to 500 gems extra.

Essentially best bet is to watch the Fugitive on the map after you click attack, but before the fight screen loads - if it turns green as you're going in, you got the kill

If there is an actual winning candidate thing then it would be very interesting, but for what it stands right now it's hilarious. It's an accurate portrayal of Don Canine: He uses his power for his own gains. He's currently running for mayor, so he asks for money, and calls it "funding". What will you get from it? You won't get an answer. What are the other candidates? You don't need to know. You don't have to donate, there is no leaderboards, no rankings, nothing. I'm pretty sure it wasn't SP's intentions to gaslight at all, they never said anything about a reward, or what you get from this event. They made it as vague as possible, because that's the whole thing about the character. But I believe they will give us some kind of reward in the end, at least I think so.

there's just so many experiences in this game that feel like gaslighting, this feels like another... And I do like the concept of the event, it's great - but at the cost, and the timing before the race... disappointment is on the horizon

Here are some tasks for gems, but we don't run the tasks, so if you don't get the gems go to the company that runs it, but you're not their customer, so they don't care about you, so you just wasted your time ...
