You've heard some news recently about a warehouse near you. The warehouse is filled with costumes. They smell really bad, i've visited that place, trust me. They're also creepy. The owner of the warehouse is really weird, by that i mean really, really weird.
There's a rat costume called Tab The Rat, a dog costume called Rocky Roggie and a small brown pug costume called Puchy. They also have a mysterious robot called Macling and a smaller robot. This smaller robot is called a Hatling but some people call it a Muffling. It lives in Macling's top hat.There also has been rumours about a "Red Rocky". Red Rocky is apparently a version of Rocky Roggie that comes from a meteor that landed on Earth years before Rocky Roggie even existed, but i don't believe that is true unless i can get proof somehow. This version is apparently eyeless, has red spots all over him and is bigger than Rocky Roggie. It's also very strong and it has the same creepy smile as Rocky Roggie does.

This seems more like a bio of the character cast than the opening of a story. It's just raw exposure/too much context. Keep the characters, but remember that in a story, introducing character has to happen in a progressive way. Readers don't remember characters by names, but by their active presence in the narrative, and thus throwing them all on the table ammounts to nothing.

show them

it has a better impact when the main character is the one that can identify for the readers what these characters are

with what you currently made, its more of an exposition dump then an introduction to the story's cast

like here's the example
if a guy tells a person something looks creepy to another person, that person will be weirded out but won't think about it afterwards
but if that person actually gets to see that creepy looking thing and can't grasp what it is, then it'll have a much better impact

one more thing is that in order for the plot of the story to be good, it shouldn't happen cause of convenience, luck, or just because it's forced to happen
