I use spek with dispelling fist to clear enemy megataunts (like if they use double megataunt) and I use clock to area deny the enemy team and then they lose their turn and then cruel goes in for the kill

secondly, dont focus on the adventure map since you dont want to level up fast in this game
It actually ends up hindering you in some cases for stuff like challenges (gold fever, growth spurt etc.)

thirdly, use runes, try to get a taunt/megataunt monster & swap over to mythics, they are relatively easy to get if you play smartly
