For most thunder eagle, since 4hrs. You can do it while doing breeding event as long as a 4hr+ breed completed and started every 4hrs, but you end up need gems.
You can do it with other eg thunder + dark, so can prepare for race. 1 of the outcomes 6 hrs, so with guardian and extra hatchery space is possible.

The last 25? Feed from lvl 1-11 is usually enough to get all feeding coins.

Yes, extra free stamina. For r3 you'd need to do a lot of PvP unless planning to do breeding event; don't know if there is a breeding event for this one yet.

Not directly, you can get coins from PvP roulette, so can gems spend to respin, but they are not guaranteed.
cheapest way for r3 is extra PvP, would need an 180 PvP wins and respins extra to those needed for r2. There's enough free stamina for around 70 of those, so paying for stamina and assuming average of 5 gems a respin, is +1500 gems on r2 cost approx. It's a lot of work, probably at least 300 PvP total. @gentle zephyr

It seems kind of basic, but the best way is to login every 4 hrs and actually count 225 coins while collecting.
Another way is to know how many 4hr collections you’ve done and see if what you have is the same as 225*num_collections + 150 (what everyone gets at beginning of maze) + any PvP 50 coins

You need to get the Egg from the breeding first before hatching so that it counts

Like how the gem efficiency compares? How many respins would be comparable to 5 cells?

PvP cheaper when comparing higher nodes in maze, eg last node for r3 is 1080 coins at 20% for 183 cells, that's approx 20 PvP, paying for stamina would be around 10x20= 200 gems. Breeding, assume guardian, pass and rare bred, 25 gems per 5 cells, 24*17=408 gems.
Breeding is easier, if love season on Monday (can't remember which next), than would rank very highly.

For now, I'd use max free stamina and respin and breed every 4 hrs, Then I'll find time to compare properly. All depends on your goal, you're after r3?

Yes, just hatch thunder eagle, transfer new one, start a new breed. The first time doing it you probably won't get the coins, but they are not lost just delayed. After that you'll get the hatch coins each time.
