I absolutely agree with this, I think they changed it last year whereas the server of the games was an option in the homepage but now you have to click on settings to change it

We should put it back on the homepage because sometimes, even I get put onto the wrong server but I didn't know how to change it back to the server that I mained on. And it's also way more accessible that going to settings

i think there is no such thing as more skilled player deserves rarer skins.

If new comers get rarer skins from cw, good for them.
(1) it keeps ppl watching ads and playing shellshock.
(2) the chances of winning rare skins tier 6/7 are just so low (you can look it up in shellshock wiki) and you only have 4 times per day.
(3) not all of ppl playing shellshock, especially new comers will stick around. So those players will be gone together with their “rare” skins

Lottery is here in real life for a reason tho. You can play it no matter you are rich or not. And the jackpot is life changing for sure.

i think I am somehow skilled for having close 400k lifetime kills and >3 kdr, but I don’t see BWD give out anything for being “skilled”. I wish lol

Rare skins are also BWD’s way to promote the game because it often gives out to competition winner or in giveaways. I also just recently won nuke zone piston and 100k eggs from giveaways. You have to participate and "earn" those rare skins.

More personal data point, I bought everything that could be purchased by eggs from shop and still have 3 millions eggs with nothing to spend on. The cw for me now is almost all egg rewards for me for the past few months because the cw skins that I already owned will be converted to eggs and rewarded to me.

I still play cw nevertheless because It’s fair to me that we got equal chance of winning specific rare skins from cw.

I assume the way state farm do give away is by giving out fresh new accounts with a rare skin won through chicken winner. They span thousands of new accounts each day to do cw, and lucky if they finally got one rare skin from one of these.

But again, it was fresh new accounts with nothing else, no status in profile but just A rare skin. And you don't even have real control of the account in terms of ownership/password.
As far as I know, Harrison was cracking down these account created by sf very fast.

the problem with new maps is that they are way too large, and there aren't many people in public lobbies, especially during night time. It feels taking forever to find an opponent across the map and we might just close the game out of boredness.

If there is an option to pick maps to join, then there will only be 1/2 live maps always filled (not really) with players while other live maps barely empty

Sometimes u want to play with a few opponents, like... 3 v 3, sometimes u want to have a full map of 18 people

In GTA 5 and GTA San Andreas (both online), you can just choose which server to join based on ur needs, same should be here

And in my experience, I also just joined based on whether I want to have many opponents, or just a relaxed evening with fewer opponents

You would just join room 2, and others will follow as well if they're looking for a decent sized room

My point is that sf has a pool of accounts (no username/password yet) only doing chick winner but nothing else for days/months before they locate one that got rare skins to giveaway.
That’s the suspicious actively right here.

It is also possible that sf only uses one-time account (no username and password) to do chick winner exactly once and ditch the account until they find one with rare skin to giveaway.

@timid mica This is an interesting idea but the issue right now is a lack of someone to review those clips. Devs have other work that needs to be done and have little remaining time (remember it’s their job not a something where they are miracle workers for). I think what the devs need to do is appoint someone who’s actually wanting to put the work in to be the community administrator for egg forcers. They would be responsible for the training and passing lists of new candidates to be reviewed by the devs.

Maybe if there was an incentive on hand like a high tier code or couple codes then 10 people hands might go up because what many people only care about apparently are getting a code for a less and less rare code sets. I would do it for nothing but unfortunately I don’t have the time between content creation and running one of the largest shell shockers leagues

I don’t think fame should be a consideration, with the implementation of these ideas then people such as you could be egg forcer although the only concern with the devs is who to trust not to abuse egg forcer permissions. That’s why it’s only usually the well known people who are selected because the devs generally know whether they’ll abuse or not.

i think the main issues i have that stands with ads, is the lack of control everyone has with them.
it seems that somewhere along the line someone decided "yes cramming as many advertisements as humanly possible will surely sell one of these products"
that and some of the ads are straight up malicious. the regulation of advertisements just simply can not be done just due to the volume of them.
that and i just dont see the reason why certain ads get there own js code that can just simply decide what portion of the screen they want to use.
bwd has done quite a bit of work to attempt to mitigate the ads from just choosing to randomly say "you want me to use this box, how about the entire screen instead?"

while ads do provide a good method of monetizing things and allowing products / services that would otherwise have to be payed to be free. im just not sure what exactly sure what the web will do with it.
buying vip / buying an ingame items make bwd so much more money than ads would. video ads (afaik) are the most profitable. rather than the bannar ads. but

see sometimes the eggforcers dont say anything because there are multiple players who they ate watching. so tipping off the others kind of defeats the purpose.
usually if i join a lobby where a cheater was reported and i see the player who reported already left. i dont say anything, as no one else reported them (in my eyes no one else noticed)

It is just frustrating if I report a cheater and call them out, when they leave without me (and the others) knowing whether they were kicked or just left.
Especially when there was a discussion about said cheater in the chat, and suddenly they are gone.
Did we make them leave? Or did pressing "Report" actually did something?

Thats the thing though. No one except a few actually say the actual word spelled as it is. They come up with all these loop-holes so to fully blacklist these words you'd have to find all the variations as well. I will say though I honestly think this is a good idea. In which games do you have perfect accuracy while jumping/running that is not one of the old fraggers like Quake or UT?
Knowing how to operate movement and weapon to actually shoot at where you are aiming is one of the more challenging aspects of the game.

Big news for you, the biggest shell servers are leagues and more than half of the players in every single leauge are well over 35 ping when playing in their comp games. Anyways, I would estimate up to 25% of players who play on home servers have much greater than 35 ping anyway so this wouldnt even be that useful. Its only useful to peole who live close to servers, take a look at singapore players, half of them get over 35 ping.

Now here's the thing; ping isn't "your" responsibility alone, considering it's managed by outside factors- for example, my ISP is horrible, and I'm unfortunately stuck with them as they're the only people who cover where I live. With your logic, would it then be my fault that my internet tends to jump around with ping? Not to mention, not everyone is capable of getting the best stuff that makes their ping amazing, considering the possibility of financial constrains, along with the fact that majority of the player base are kids who can't control that stuff in the first place; they can't upgrade their internet or routers, or get a better computer just for shell

Also the higher ping thing boost doesn't really make much sense, considering for me at least I normally do worse in higher ping environments- in any case though my point still stands, while it would be an interesting addition, it would need to be less restrictive, as aforementioned, there are still many variables, most of which cannot be controlled, that could affect it. There are many possibilities to add something like that. Being an entrance fence, like "must be <100ms" (while 100ms is already extreme) to "Do not spike higher than 50ms for more than 6 seconds" or any combination of it.

These are all securely handled by 3rd party payment processing service Xsolla in case of shell shock, not BWD. It would be critical security breach for payment processing business like PayPal or Xsolla to leak or misuse their clients' personal credentials or even banking data.

BWD only has your account email/password, its associated firebase id which is used to store player in-game stats (and ip) and that's it.

VIP doesn't mean anything in terms of cheating or not. It just mean you support the game financially, and the game give you some benefit in return (x2 eggs, no ads etc)
VIP badge next to the player name is on server side. If it is shown next to other players' name, then he/she is indeed VIP. VIP can also hide VIP badge in the setting.

I have reported many VIP(with in game badge) cheaters in the #🕵・cheater-report , and they got banned as well.

I have suffered form muscle memory so often! You want to hit melee when the gun is empty, but that damn finger automagically hit 'reload' already. ^^
Comes from training to reload as early after the gun is empty as possible. Verry hard to re-train to melee...
