bwd, yall need to make shell shockers something worth grinding for. as many ppl have talked abt before, shell is a dying game, and development of the game should be prioritized. the whole players base doesnt give a crap about unvaulting skins, we want new gameplay, new content, and many want a game with more incentive. killstreaks are cool and all, but there needs to be more content to grind for, to enjoy, etc. there needs to be a push for more gamemodes for the playerbase to enjoy. idc about skins that much, instead most of the playerbase cares deeply about the content of the game, and please prioritize the need for new content to further push this lovely game to peak stardom.

Game: Shellshockers - New Weapons

In the three years or so i have been playing this game, I do not believe a single new weapon has been added. I know there is talk of a crossbow being added, but I would like to see some more new weapons being added soon. I had some ideas for ones:

LMG: A simple weapon, this could have a 100 round mag with around a 6 second reload, medium damage close but as you get more range it has a lot of weapon spread, this would allow it to have a role as somewhat of a brawling weapon that also has some mid range performance. This is a role that is somewhat filled by the EggK-47, but it would add a new playstyle of almost an ambush, where you run up to a group of eggs, spray a bunch of rounds and then run away to reload.
As far as 3D model I was thinking something along the lines of a simplified MG42 or M249.

Battle Rifle: This would be a weapon with similar characteristics to the Free Ranger, but without a scope, full auto with fire rate only a tiny bit higher than spamming the Free Ranger, and 20 rounds per magazine. This would fill a gap as an all-rounder, and could be balanced by taking 3-4 shots for a kill. This fills a similar role as the Free Ranger, but would be a fun weapon to learn to master. I don't know how new player friendly this would be, but it would create a new way to use maps as cover and use covering fire almost to keep eggs from controlling points in KotC for example. It would mainly be useful for controlling the battle a bit, and could be balanced through nerfs or buffs as seen nessecary. As far as 3d model I was envisioning a G3A3 or a SCAR H.

This is just a personal thing, I do not know how others might feel about this but I just thought I would throw this out here and see what everyone else thinks!

Quite simply, it gets boring doing the same things; I’m sure you guys can agree with that. Unfortunately, this is happening with many Shell Shockers players and their connection to the game, including me.

Since 2022, there simply hasn’t been many significant changes. No new guns, no new gamemodes, just the new gun skins, maps, and other things. Sure, things like quests and gravity have been added, but it simply hasn’t been significant enough for us players to get sick of the game or give us another big reason to play the game.

Updates usually consist of unvaulting certain skin sets that occur in yearly updates (like the groundhog set or the summer set) or previous ones, causing long-time players to be less interested in the total game as they grind/gain eggs for skins they already have. New maps are fun and all, but they also don’t make the game stand out compared to others.

The Buck, Albino, and Flame sets have been in the game for a while with the exception of a few flames; as the clock ticks they’ll become less special. Simply, we’re all slowly getting sick of the game without significant change (like a new gamemode) in sight.

I’ve gotten sick of the game already resulting in me taking a 6 month hiatus, and adter I came back sevral months ago, I’m getting sick of it again and may not come back to Shell again. Lack of innovation leading to unpopularity can be shown to what happened to YouTuber Beluga; he once was really popular but couldn’t innovate, and now his videos receive much lower views than before. If BWD wants to avoid this similar fate, they need to innovate on ways to never let us players be bored: focusing on new gamemodes, or at the bare minimum, focusing on making a new map/gun skin better than the previous one. To put it simply, the game is getting boring due to the lack of significant, game-altering changes. I love this game; I love the egg idea and made a ton of memories. I don’t want this game to die; something needs to change.

Game: Shellshockers

TLDR: Implement lag compensation.

A universal issue with this otherwise satisfying and mechanically sound game is "blanks", wherein the client and server are out of sync and a shot that registers on the clientside as being accurate does not hit the enemy from the servers point of view. As a developer with some experience building real time networked systems, I believe this issue to be due to the lack of lag compensation in shell shockers.

There are 2 primary strategies for implementing lag compensation and fixing the blanking issue.

1. Rollback. Whenever a player does an important action (ie. fire a shot), send the timestamp of that action to the server. The server then rolls back to the game state present at that timestamp, and simulates that action again, essentially rewriting history. All other clients must be updated to match the new state. This could however open the door to hackers exploiting the system (a hacker could have a strong connection and react immediately but send fake timestamps to perform their actions faster) or make the gameplay experience against high ping players weird (getting shot while you are behind a wall, etc.)

2. (Better method) Clientside simulation with rechecking. First, have the client calculate its average ping to the server. Update this over the course of the game (maintain a running average, lets say 40ms for example). After the player does an important action send the message to the server (no timestamp), then wait for 40ms and start simulating it on the client. After the server gets the message, it should acknowledge it, with a timestamp. Let's say that the server actually got it at 45ms later, so the client gets back an acknowledgment at 90ms that the action was received at 45ms. So then it rewinds time back to 40ms, undoes the action, then fast-forwards to 45ms, makes the action perform then, then fast-forwards again back to 70ms.

Nost online games have this feature. Add it 🙏❤️

I totally agree with #💡・suggestions message, so i won't repeat what has been said - But here are some things i think about

1️⃣ So i wanted to suggest again some gamemodes,
Hide and Heek - In maps with secret spots / parkour skills needed to hide etc..
Battle Royal - For people who love to try hard and be the number 1, it adds challenge
Parkour ? everyone can kill eachothers and the goal is to survive while doing parkour to arrive at the end, so the top 3 winners would get like +200 eggs and all others 50eggs (its an example so i dont know, just sayin')
Melee Royal - For melee fans
Maybe Spatula gamemode could also be improved ? For example, when a team reaches 100 points, the entire team could get 200 eggs, it could be 200 eggs every 100 points. Because except doing kills, getting the spatula isnt really usefull.. So if we add an egg system, people would see a real interest to fight for that spatula.

2️⃣ I also wanted to suggest again something i've talked about long time ago which was a friend system on shell. Since a lot of people don't have social medias, it is hard to chat and find again some nice people we've met in lobbies, i've seen many times new people to the game asking if there was a friend system.
By doing that, we could also avoid fakes. Cause it happened to me to see people with the same name and get confuse by some '' Don't you remember ? we were playing together last time'' and to realise it was just someone else but with the same name.
The friend system would be also useful to send gamecodes, chatting in private / outside lobbies etc.. And the possibility to see the friend list of each person

3️⃣ Add a ''profile'' button under 'Mute' and 'Report', so we can see people profiles and inventory to see if someone uses shared acc, or to see if people are faking their stats, egg numbers, etc.. Or just cause it is interesting to see

Like everyone has been saying, the game is kind of dying and I’ve been cooking up some battle Royale ideas. There should be 30-40 people in these matches and every time a person dies you get 5 eggs for surviving. If you kill someone you get 10 plus the 5 for someone dying. If you die you can either spectate or exit the game. If you get grenade or melee kills it should be an additional amount of eggs added so it would be 5 for someone dying, 5 for melee/nade kill, and then 10 for the kill. The maps for this gamemode should be generally larger but if they stay small it might make the time more manageable. It might be a good idea to consider teleporters. Place at least one on each side and if you land on it you teleport to a corresponding teleporter. Adding ranks to this would be a good idea because you could then add a way to add more eggs to your kill depending on their rank. So you could get up to 30 eggs a kill on a weekday and 60 on a weekend. If you win a game first would get from 200-1000 eggs depending on: rank, amount of kills, and amount of pistol/melee kills. Second would get 50 eggs less than first and third would get 100 less than first. Fourth and fifth can get a runner up thing which would be 150 less than first. Thank you for your time.

create skins exclusive to stats. Ik many people in the community want this to exist, as some people have most items in the game, and should be able to access more. People have suggested this with a correlation with kills or eggs spent. I have atm 83,000 kills, and 100,000 kills is smth which should have some incentive to work towards except the sweet number. We already have skins people are willing to pay money for (not calling VIP’s out since their supporting this game lol) skins, such as albinos, bucks, etc. some ppl with these stats dont have these weapons, so a skin to acknowledge 100k kills is amazing. Same for all 100k milestones, 50k, so on. Same could be said for coops captured. Eggs arent a sufficient incentive for the game. In conclusion, add more incentive to play this game, such as rewards for stats, etc.

make the game less repetitive. many people get sick of the game because of repetition. The concept of repitition revolves around the fact that as we continue to do the same action consistently, eventually monotony will exhaust us. Shell needs to be a constantly adapting game, and a game where enjoyability is able to be prioritized and a game where we can continue to love it because of a constant change of pace. Its easy to get sick of shell after playing it for months, and eventually it will tire us out. I’m a fan of shell, and it gets tiring at a certain period of time. Prioritizing a constant change in the game’s environment, such as new customizations, new gamemodes, etc. it’ll make the game more fun for the general audience. Also, once you get good at shell, it becomes boring, so a competitive aspect is another essential idea to add.

I propose: THE FRIEND SYSTEM SUGGESTION.

How it would work:
In a lobby, you can click on a players name. It will show a new ADD FRIEND feature that sends the person you want to befriend a friend request. That person will receive a notification on their home screen and can decide to do three things: accept (to chat, also the only way to chat), decline, and block (hides all future friend requests from that user until unblocked). Besides chatting, you can also delete the friend; pretty much y'all aren't friends anymore and if you want to be friends again, you have to go thru the friend request process again. VIPs can have special features, like longer messages, ability to send screenshots, and maybe Shell-related emojis! This will give stronger incentive for people to buy VIP, resulting in more money for BWD.

Another feature that might be a bit of a stretch is making servers. Servers would be nice, but moderation/admin would be a bit of a hassle.

I bring up the friend request system because right now, Shell is in a state of turmoil. The game hasn't had any significant updates within the last 2 years (like a new gamemode/gun), resulting in us getting sick of the game as doing something over and over again eventually becomes boring.

THIS is when the friend system suggestion comes into play. Even if we get bored of the game, we still enjoy chatting to friends. I've made plenty of friends through discord, and even if I quit the game (which I am doing soon cause it's getting too boring), I will still continue to chat to them.

I think that a good feature to add would be a new gamemode since most of the players are bored of boths CTS ,FFA, and KOTC. Many players have suggested a battle royale gamemode, which in they'll spawn in a huge map and try to survive. It could be the classic battle royale with a zone weapons and grenades could only be required in some houses i the map perhaps. Also i suggest we have another gamemode in which players would have to protect a huge golden egg. There will be two different teams and two different bases which will have a golden egg to protect. The idea is clearly from eggwars and bedwars in the huge minecraft server HYpixel. I think both of those gamemodes would be great additions to the game . But that's not all, we could add a battlepass that would have a different collection of weapons and grenades each season (2 month). Quests are already a great addition and they are perfect so no comments on them. Although we can talk about CW. A lot of Shell players are complaining that it is draining to gamble in this paarticular way. So i recomend that you do something similar to CS2 and CS:GO cases. Players would need to collect an amount of golden eggs to open different "easter eggs" perhaps , that would give them a single type of item. So for example this type of a "case" can provide you of these 25 items (skins,hats,patches,etc). That's everything I have to comment about the game, i recently joined the official Shell Shockers community but i used to play 2 years ago. So when i logged in 1-2 days ago and saw no differences from the old to the new i was fairly dissapointed . made by @Xou

Capture the Flag gamemode!:

RULES:
A map will be split into two halves: the blue team's home base and the red team's home base. [More secondary weapons for shellshockers.
Most of the people i know that play shell dont actually use the pistol, but what if there were alternatives to it.
I have 4 suggestions going from most to least plausible.

1. Revolver, it would have higher damage and accuracy than the Cluck 9mm but it would have a slower fire rate and have only 6 shots instead of 15.
2. Mini Smg, it would be full auto, have a slightly higher firerate than regular pistol but lower damage per shot, i imagine it having 22 rounds per mag.
3. Grenade launcher, it would work as regular grenades, exept you dont have to charge them up before throwing them at max speed, it would have 1 shot in the chamber and 1 in reserve, its for those who would like more grenades instead of a pistol.
4. Melee, it would replace your pistol and your quick melee and would make it so if you want to melee, you have to swap to secondary, it would deal 60 damage, attack faster than normal melee and have a slightly larger range than normal melee, it would use a larger version of the melee skin you have equipped.
   You could for example combine RPEgg or Crackshot with either melee or mini smg to show shotguns why it still isnt safe to get near you or grab Scrambler and revolver to show those Eggk-47 and Tri-Hard users that even at mid range, you can still deal some serious damage, or combine RpEgg and grenade launcher to become the master of explosives, or Whipper and mini smg to initiate operation bullet storm, the possibilities this would open up are (nearly) endless.]

also, give us more customisability in private games, like a toggleable "Mini egg mode" or being able to customise speed and jump height, or maybe even a toggleable "slow mo mode"

I do like having a less powerful killstreak in there but I do agree both that haste would be amazing. Maybe mixing up the killstreaks past 10 so you get a random one beyond that point is the answer

Oversaturation of Skins: The influx of too many skins has diluted their impact. In the past, fewer but more iconic skins added to the game’s charm. Now, it feels like the game is overly focused on skins, most of which lack memorability and aesthetic appeal.
Shell Premium: The introduction of a premium version feels like a misstep, especially since a large portion of the player base—roughly 50-60%—plays on school-issued Chromebooks. Many of them are unlikely to pay for an upgrade. Instead, egg bundles seemed to have been a better approach in the past. Furthermore, with player numbers declining, premium doesn’t seem like a viable revenue stream.
Maps: Over the last few years, maps have become too complex, often resembling mazes. I frequently find myself leaving a server if the map is poorly designed, which happens 80% of the time. The old maps were much simpler and easier to navigate, offering a better gaming experience.

Shell hasn’t been hitting the same anymore. shell is the only game I play, and recently I’ve been reminiscing on the older days.
The gameplay has been updated to be way lighter. There is also not much to grind for in shell. I’m getting pretty close to 100k kills, and for what? To flex to my friends who have lives?
Shell needs to have more incentive, perhaps a leveling system, and skins to correspond to these milestones. We need more gameplay changes too. Ofc this isn’t an instant change. We need a new weapon, and more gamemodes. Shell has been dying too.

there are challenges that give you "tickets/passes". what i mean by that is like say u do a certain challenge, it rewards u with a ticket. you can use that ticket to buy any item <10k eggs (this can be for updates items, shop items, etc (not prems tho). there can be an icon at the top of the screen that has all the tickets u have won. and there can be a ✅ or 🚫 next to it. checkmark means u can still use it. Bring back the OLD weapon BLOOMS, CROSSHAIRS (shotty), FUNCTION (How they used to work)! Before the BALANCE UPDATE in 2023! This prevents noobs from spamming the free ranger and blooming / jumpshotting with it. This includes the CS where it's so easy to walk / jump shot with it. And fixes the shotty where it blanks so many direct hits, and unexpectly actually kills players when the cross-hair isn't even close to the centre of the egg when standing still. Etc, the list would go on and on. Back then (before the BALANCE update) the game blanked much less. I remember there was a larger player base in 2021-2022 and yet there was so much less lag. The game back then was also more skill-based where spamming free ranger while jumping around, aiming randomly wouldn't get you many kills. You had to time your shots, knowing when to move and stop to fire instead of jumping up and blooming your opponent nowadays. So please do what you can to bring back Shell Shockers old glory!!!

Implemant an IP Ban, allow people to ping multiple eggforcers at a time when they report someone in the cheater report channel, make an anti cheat, talk with the people who run statefarm instead of avoiding them because they're supposedly a lost cause
I know that IP bans would hurt entire schools but I think this is a necessary evil that has to be done to slow cheaters down, plus a lot of schools have all the links blocked (because they're all public on the wiki which renders the proxies useless) so I don't think that an IP ban would alienate the overall community

1. Maps : The maps are too small, you're in the middle of fighting someone and then someone comes up on you, so you don't have time to finish your duel because everyone sees you.
   You also need to leave more “flat” spaces in the maps, because when you run away, you get hit by blocks everywhere. As for the blocks, okay they're different but it's still pretty much the same feature, it would be cool to add bushes to hide in or water to create real rivers for Shady Glen for example.

2. Crosshair (especially crackshot) : I find that the cs crosshair takes too long to recharge, which puts you at a disadvantage in fights, especially in long-distance fights, or perhaps in all kinds of fights. This also applies to the free-ranger. It would be great to bring back the old crosshair tbh but that's devs choice and my opinion. Otherwise, the crosshair is great for other guns.

3. We only can fight on shell shockers, a map editor would be very appreciate by everyone I guess, for those who don't like to play too much, but love to design, I already sugested that months ago but it wasn't taken into account or I didn't explain it properly. With the map editor, you can create your own maps to play with your friends. This map editor could also give ideas to the devs for new maps. It would be amazing for leagues or event servers to have their own maps.

Bring the CC sub requirement back down to 750. I get that 850 is kinda the sweet spot but 750 is a much nicer, round number, and it's also already sort of a milestone (being 3/4 of the way to 1k) so people already get excited when they hit it, so it would be a great place to interject another milestone. Of course, there's probably also a bunch of reasons why it isn't already 750 anyways, and I'm sure the devs have their own reasons for making it the way it is. Just my opinion, that's all.

TLDR: 750 subs is a good requirement for CC :)

These are just some examples and i seriously hope it gets added, i know, i dont have examples for all the weapons but i think its a good idea to let the MODS have their fun with the other sounds.

5. Make a clearer menu for stuff like servers
6. Shell message board, where ideas get interchanged, discussions are kind but opened, kinda like shell social media but better
7. Polls for the playerbase to help with specific changes
8. Add an option to change gamemodes in privates, also add an option for a person to autochange to a team, and maybe an option to make one team to do no damage and another to do damage
9. Legacy shell has ideas for gamemodes, such as a scale shift gamemode, and try to be consistent adding new content
10. Allow some stats to be open to other people
11. Add toggles for gun sounds
12. Add options to boot people for specific amounts of times.
13. Also when we do the / boot command, make it so that the game gives suggestions on who to boot, to prevent someone having to type the exact name

I think a friend system should definitely be added as well as changing the website icons (from eggs to like a math symbol or smth idk) for the proxy sites so they can go undetected more easily. For a friending system it would be super easy as you could just add a new tab/menu on the home page along with inventory, shop, profile, and home. The friend page would have a list of all your friends, and if they're online or not. If your friend is in a game, you can click their name and be able to join their game. To friend someone you could just make it the same as muting or reporting someone where you just click their name on the leaderboard and their's an option that says friend. To unfriend you can either do the same thing as with the leaderboard names thingy or you can go on your list of friends and remove them (maybe add a confirmation thingy so people don't accidently remove friends)

But anyway for shell - so once a year, on the day ur shell account was created, you open shell shockers and u have this spin the wheel. so basically its like a gift thing for the bday of ur shell account. If you're a VIP member, everything doubles by two, and if you want, the vips have at least two least rarest codes in the wheel. when the pointer lands on an egg amount, u get the amount of eggs. if it lands on a gun, it will pop up the code which u copy, and then use either for urself, or a gw in ur server. Well guys — I know few people and I already made those suggestions before but it is because we really want it 🥲

1. As for example the in-game friend system — When you clic on someone's name, you could be able to send them friend request which can be accepted or ignored.
   If someone accepts your friend request, a little badge (idk, an heart, or anything else) appears next to their name in the player list (so if you meet people named like your friend you could know who's the one you added). Then, in the homepage, there could be another category below inventory, profile etc.. Where you could see all people you added and send them messages, see their stats, invite them on a map, join their lobby, etc...
   And it could be nice to see when your friends are online or not.

2. Now about hackers — I was thinking about something, but i don't know if that is possible since i dont know a lot about scripts and stuff like that — So my idea was for eggforcers to be able to ip ban but only from a lobby , and not from the game like Devs can do.
   For example, y'all know that eggforcers can ban for 1h max, but sometimes hackers keep coming back even if you banned them several times, so i thought it could be ''great'' to ip ban them from the lobby so they can't join the same lobby anymore (however they could join new ones).
   So it could help streamers with eggforcer role to chill instead of banning the same annoying cheater every minutes. I don't know if y'all see what i mean
   So we could chose the ''classic'' banning system, or the other one if the same hacker keeps coming back.

3. Obviously new EU eggforcers 🙏🏻
   The thing is that there is a minority of EU players on this server, and people must be known and trustable to get the role, so i know it isnt simple to get new eggforcers but we would really need EU people

4. Being able to create private map and turning it either public or private so random people could join your map

• Hot take: Every CC should have Eggforcer. This is because it's extremely hard to record or stream when every second lobby has a blatant aimbotter, which makes content bad and annoying to make. This shouldn't be a problem as CCs should already be trusted members of the community - if they weren't, they wouldn't be a CC in the first place (Yes this isn't really a chat update, I just wanted to point this out)

Implement a replay system that basically saves a record from the time you first load into a lobby to the time that you leave the lobby (or maybe a time buffer for memory reasons). This could be useful for editors (like myself 😄 ) and the competitive scene (players could share replay files with others and study other players' replays to learn different techniques and stuff). You could also add a toggle in settings to enable/disable replay recording for yourself to eliminate any potential performance issues on low-end hardware. If someone is reported, Eggforcers could automatically save the last x seconds of replay buffer for the suspected player to see if they were cheating before the eggforcer joined.

You're misinformed I believe, Heimaey did get punished for a valid reason. There was an old clip which has resurfaced of Heimaey cheating, and this isn't because of skill (however, Heimaey does have skill, but this was blatant cheating). He also uses skin hacks, which shouldn't be promoted from a CC. I give him the credit for being honest about it. In CCC (code-supported server), he was caught cheating. He's said stuff about his scripts and all of this is backed up by proof. I completely agree with the sentiment he's a great creator, and some of the evidence is outdated, but most of the evidence which is suggesting Heimaey uses cheats is recent and true.

PLEASE, bring back the old crackshot when it used to shot fast with bullets going straight to the target instead of a slow crackshot with bullets going everywhere except on the target despite the dot perfectly on the egg. Crackshot is now a blooming weapon, people just run over you and randomly kill you close range. Before, we used to stop moving less than a second to aim and kill - The bullet used to go exactly where u were aiming, so it required more skills. Now even if some people dont aim perfectly on you, they can kill you because of blooms. And now, if you dare moving a bit and shoot, bullets wont kill. You have to stop moving for few seconds if you want to get a chance to kill. Because of this few seconds cooldown, you have time to be killed several times or it gives chance to the target to move so you miss it. It is one of the things now which makes the game less funny. Crackshot became a sort of blooming shotgun
Ngl, I used to be good with crackshot before it changes, now i feel like I am bad with it because i still have those old crackshot reflexes.

Each season there will be free skins with the default pass, but for 20 golden eggs that can be obtained by doing in game challenges, you can buy the "premium" pass and unlock more golden eggs and "premium skins. There will be default eggs so you can still purchase skins in the shop, and after each season some skins will be vaulted and some will still be obtainable via the chicken winner.
