after creating a private game, I noticed what appears to be a display glitch. the area of where my shot would go was displayed below the play button. Whenever you switch weapons, the area of where your shots can go corresponds to the weapon you select. However, when you switch to shotgun and then to another weapon, the shotgun area stays. While this is a glitch, I'm not certain if the bloom areas are supposed to be shown here in the first place.

this is what it looked like when I first came into the game using an rpg. Note that this happened every time I created a private game and would disappear after spawning, going into spectator mode, or visiting your inventory and the shop.

after switching to the shotty and then another weapon, the shotgun area stays. This is the same with the rpg area as well.

if you join with any weapon besides the rpg and shotty, there's a black spot along with the area of bloom.

In headless.gg, I press mute site by right clicking on the tab in chrome. As long as that tab is not closed, the audio is muted. However, when I close the tab and open headless in another tab, then the audio starts eve though chrome shows site muted in the url bar. I have also seen by right clicking on the tab. It also shows an option to unmute the site, which means that the site is muted, but still I can hear the audio. For the site to be muted, I have to press Unmute site once and then again Mute the site.

Steps to Reproduce the problem

1. Use Chrome to open headless
2. After opening right click on the tab and press mute site
3. The audio stops
4. After that close the tab and open a new tab
5. Open headless there
6. You can find the small speaker with cross symbol in the right end of the URL bar
7. But still you will hear the audio
8. Right click on the tab and click Unmute site
9. Repeat step 8 but this time press Mute site
10. Only then the audio stops

This problem does not happen with other BWD games

Let me respond to that. Merc zone is a game that’s been out for a little bit but is always being tweaked on so that players get the best experience gaming on it. And yes the devs do care because they’ve been constantly working on it for the time of it’s existence. Instead of actually trying to help with the situation that you brought up, you question the work of people who know so much more than you. Instead of giving them crap about it, maybe try to understand what’s going on. Thank you.

The servers lag so much that the game, that you say they spend so much time, energy and effort to 'constantly tweak' is UNPLAYABLE. Does that help? Maybe instead of spending so much time ensuring the players get the 'best experience gaming' on it (which, by the way has NOT fundamentally changed for many, many months), they should concentrate on the gameplay experience not being so frustrating that their best players straight up quit. If you don't know what's happening in the player community, you're not paying attention. So many good players are gone it's almost painful. To me that screams "I don't care". I'd love to see the game run properly first, then get fancy animations , colorful skins and coins. To me all that is window dressing, which would be great, if the window wasn't broken.

recently got a new pc, and have been having horrible crashing problems, i had it on my old chromebook but much less than now, suddenly the game will freeze and if i try to shoot someone it will just go through them as they aren't there, just my screen is frozen This can last for up to a minute and then I either disconnect or have to wait, then it would unfreeze and just for a brief second i can see the ping at anywhere between 5000 to 48,000. Don't know if it's the game or something's wrong with my pc/internet.

To add: If i disconnect its just the fried egg in the middle screen moving, nothing happens. If i try to go to the homepage when it's frozen, nothing inputs. So i have to close chrome to reset, also, its only happened to me in pubs.

In chrome:

Hi, I was just playing Shell and then when I spawned in and I pressed the **A **key, I started moving sideways left and I could not do anything to stop it. It kept going, and then when I tried to shoot someone, it only made a tiny little crack. It wouldn't let me escape out so in the end I did a hard restart of my computer, which did it. Sadly I did not capture a video of it, as I was stuck in the screen. Any ideas, my fellow Bug Huntas and near Bug Huntas?

Same, when they had the music EGGK47 out that happened to me too. In the end I chatted with an XSOLLA representative and they said talk to PayPal, which I did and in the end it got nowhere. This is most likely because your credit card company does not trust ShellShockers/XSOLLA as a billing address and is not sending the payment. I would talk to an XSOLLA representative and if they do not know what to do, talk to someone at your credit card's company. This could be a bug, but it seems pretty unlikely. Or try hard reload or clear cache. If worst comes to worst, just do not buy the item and wait for a better one, (they always come) When mine did not work I ended up not buying it and then when the premium music RPG came around I bought that instead. Just try consulting your credit card company and/or XSOLLA.

ah I am unfamiliar with the workings of macs, I assume they don't have an Alt-Tab or Ctrl-Alt-Del feature haha.
As for the moving sideways thing, I know some things have a weird issue where if you hold a button before the game starts, the game loads in thinking that key being held is the default keyboard setting, Haven't heard of it happening in Shell but were you doing this?

If a movement key seems to get stuck, letting go and tapping it again usually sorts it out. It can happen, though it should be rare. It was a big problem in early Edge browser versions.

So few things might be happening here, and im 99% sure this can be fixed jsut by changing your grenade and back again.
My theory is , with all the King of the Coop talk lately, you may have been on dev or staging and grabbed a grenade that did not exist on live yet, and since your account actually transfers between them, when you came back you had an invalid grenade.

otherwise, probably some other weird thing caused an invalid grenade (I've seen it on mobile before with anonymous users somehow being created as accounts and the game not knowing what to do with the data that shouldn't be there)

so if you possibly know what you did outside of that, hmu, but yeah its likely fixed just by swapping nades

All I can think is theres some weird input being registered and continually pressed, maybe when you tab to another window. I've never seen this personally or through anyone else, and TYPICALLY forced movement is a hardware thing, so my next thing I would try is maybe hitting Enter when it's happening and see if you start spamming letters in chat (which indicates keyboard error) and if not, then that means I can rule it out and investigate further

Adding on to Kryptc sometimes when I press a movement key (wasd) and adjust my page zoom at the same time it keeps moving even when I release all the keys. Pressing esc and then respawning fixes it when it happens though. It's not a reliable repro but it does happen sometimes.

There is a glitch where it looks like you have a certain gun, but has totally different characteristics. If you were using a scrambler, if you were using a crackshot the game before, it will sometimes make it look like a scrambler but use the same amount of bullets as a crackshot.

So the way i can see this happening is if you signed into an account that already had data, it would definitely wipe your anonymous data as the intention is if you have an account, that account is valuable to you. having multiple fresh accounts "merge" into an account would cause lots of complications, so we only allow merging of un-signed in accounts with accounts without data, effectively just attaching an account to the previously anonymous one.
I will say, redeeming codes while not signed into an account is already quite risky, as that account is stored locally and clearing your cache or a few other things would completely erase that account from existence, so I do not recommend investing much time into an account without signing it up.

Hey Josh! So most of the time it is known as the ladder glitch. Where people jump of a ladder but are at a height where they hit their egg head on the block above. Because they egg isn't on level one or level two sometimes the game has momentary trouble processing it, hence the flying egg. If this sounds familiar, and it is your bug then to solve it, you just jump around for a few seconds and it should be solved. so kill streaks happen at 5 and 10. the displayed number can change if you swap teams, it doesn't go off of your score but instead off of your killstreak without dying. Changing teams will reset your score, but it isn't a death so your streak will remain

I have only used and still only use the official site for the past few years. I use stock Chrome with no extensions nor ad blockers. In the past few days, there seems to be an issue with the static ads that show up in the upper 1/8 corner of the floating ad boxes in Shell Shockers. The timer counts down to 30 seconds but the floating box doesn't close as it normally should. The only way I can get out of it is to close the entire tab. Is there any workaround?

Yeahhhhhhh we're in talks about this, but ESSENTIALLY due to the mobile and browser builds being different in some functions and UI and stuff, they aren't the same build. And, when it comes to the browser, we own it, so we can update it whenever/however we want. On Mobile, we have to submit both iOS and Android builds to their respective platforms and have them approved/posted in the store, so for the first bit of an update there are mismatches with the different builds

We actually had a lot of reports come in between the update and now, all of the same issue, and it seems updating chrome worked for all of them, so If it didn't for you and you're running a high version, then we're back to its unique to you :c

If you click the "Back to Top" button after scrolling to the bottom of the homepage and then try to scroll back down before it gets to the top, it forces the scroll to the top and disregards your inputs to scroll down until it gets to the top.

Small suggestion for the youtube box - make the video thumbnails fill the square instead of the black bars and squished aspect ratios.

The chrome version notice here in the feedback tab doesn't get translated to other languages and stays in english

you probably switched guns quickly from another and got the bug. I got this bug with the crackshot and the free ranger. I first had the free ranger, then I switched to crackshot and it gave me 15 bullets without reloading. This is just a bug, this is not really going to affect the game significantly because once you refresh, the game will become regular again. You will have lots of ammo until you reload too.

idk whats happened but I'm playing on my home server (Germany) where I usually get 20-22ms in pubs, sometimes this fluctuates to 15 or 40 but it never goes above 80, now I can barely get below 80 and I've alr cleared cache. Ignore my aim please :)

Yeah I am really unsure about the problem but it often happens with my pc that when I play Shell my FPS just starts low and doesnt go up to what it usually stays at (60 FPS Capped). A restart always solves the problem but I am not sure what causes it. I trird stopping evetything in the Task Manager but doesn't change. If anyone has ideas lmk because restarting every few days is kinda annoying

There are some instances where this happens, usually its limited to mobile though. I can see this is on PC though in that video
