500 kills with one friend would take roughly 10 seconds for a kill if you were staring at their spawn.
6 kills a minute means you spent an hour and a half killing the same single person, while they then sat there for the same amount of time clicking Respawn?

yea but its not just one player.....i understand your part of them being devs...but it doesnt mean that they can just do anything....if people find this to be a problem....they will switch games.....its not just one person....more and more people will do it as this occurs for a lot of people....its just gonna affect their game in the end in a way....even though i understand that people shouldn't be cheating in the first place....its just the fact that the unrealistic way of handline this doesn't seem right.....it should have more realistic consequences that are more proffesionally conveyed

The reason for that is that the only people that issue affects is cheaters, so leaving it a mystery is kinda an additional troll to have them keep checking back

We only hand out so long of a ban to people we feel deserve it; its not like we give indefinite bans to people who were a little rude or used an inappropriate name once

i get that, but assuming we cheated and without warning us or anything, its kind of a harsh punishment. forget the fact that it doesn't say for how long we'll be banned for, but you assumed (in my situation) that i cheated and banned me instantly. i dont say to not ban someone who has sus stats or play style, just maybe find a way to approach this in a "safer" way for actual players that just enjoy the game.

there must be a better way than convincing people for reducing the ban...there should be some things that have to be implemented such as a warning system, etc....because without warning is very harsh.....

i believe that having ban as a final thing would be a better consumer experience and would help in the overall game as it would enhance the way that the system would work....

i understand your concern but having a safety layer for second-checking AI's work is going to be needed.....I understand that this isn't easy but it is highly needed in order to move further into developing the game.....I believe that through the already existing report system....we can use AI for checking it and then AI flags it if it seems to be wrong....as for the final call....all of the flags can go to the devs like @indigo nova (sry for the ping) to then therefore check and issue consequences....this is a system that can use the resources we have in a conservative way to have a overall benifit for everyone

question...when you go into view mode and watch the players then before I was to click the play button how some it shows some of the players different?
For example a player was wearing a what I call a outfit hat and stamp and all that then before I clicked play seen the same player just as a plain tan egg? is that normal? cause they was racking up a KS left and right

My being a dev does not afford me special prioritiy ping; I'm on a home computer using regular person internet and am actually not really much of a dev so much as a standard employee.

If you asked anyone in NA, they would likely have the same ping I do when going on SG servers. The issue is not with the server itself, it's with your connection to it, and we cannot fix that.

Hey Harrison (not a bug report)
I’m currently being stalked in shell shockers. On Sunday, an individual (who I’m not going to name here) appeared in the same lobby as me and mentioned who I was, but I wasn’t under my usual name that everyone knows me by. This individual also had a bot in the same lobby that was able to list other names that other players in the lobby played on. Yesterday, this individual appeared in the same lobby as me again I was under a new name that no one knew was me, but they were able to identify me. I first thought this bot was just used to see your names that you’ve used, so I switched lobbies and again this individual spawns in. The individual also mentioned if I was playing on the same device which is a bit of a scary thing- because not I’m thinking that they’ve got some sort of access to my laptop that stores a lot of private info. To test if it was just that account, I made a new shell account and played on it in another lobby and the individual appeared there too. It’s more than being followed using my player id. I’m happy to provide ss of them using this bot on an another player, this kid also had the audacity to message me on dc saying “its u right” so I’m not plainly accusing, I’ve got proof.

Only way they'd be able to track you is if they could tell who you were through some other means; If you say they tracked you on a new account then thats likely not the case.
My guess would be they just hop from lobby-to-lobby trolling when they know youre playing

If you say you only have macafee (which btw, I hate and suggest getting rid of :P), then its likely not a computer-level thing, as somehow hacking your computer to troll you in shell seems a little outside the realm of applications for that level of tech

There is no database of names that a player can pull from; if they know someone's past names, it's because they are storing that info manually.
Your account ID is of course attached to you and is reflected in the list of players in a server, but theres no real prevention of that

i don't want this to come off as rude or pointed, but will bwd ever put more effort into shell? to be clear i'm not asking this in a toxic or snarky manner, i'm just genuinely curious about this. shell is dying and i think we all know that. you guys have the power to slow that process down a good bit, even if you're starting rather late, but is it even worth it for you guys? the updates nowadays don't feel like actual updates. i don't think i've ever seen a suggestion in the bwd suggestion channel get read by you guys and added to the game. i'm just curious because i enjoy playing the game but want to know if it's going to even continue. i don't know if you're allowed to (or want to) say this but is shell profitable (i don't need a number, just a general idea) after all the different costs of keeping up the servers, paying employees, etc.

the shell community is honestly way bigger than i would expect, and they've definitely put effort into this game in terms of keeping it alive, competitions, etc. they might love this game more than you do now. i think the least you owe them is transparency about how much longer you guys expect shell to last, if you will ever make any major changes to the game again, if you even care about or read the suggestions in the suggestion channel (because a lot of people get mad that they are ignored and you should just be straight forward and delete the channel if you're never going to use it so that people stop wasting their time), and what bwd plans to focus on in the future.

Also don't know why but when a new person tries to join when the game is botted the game full error comes but if an existing player leaves and then rejoins then they can join again without the full game error (the game is still being botted continuously) kinda wierd

Harrison Is there a way you can fix a bug in the game - that bug basically permits users to join the game without sharing the full information, for example: In our server, bots join the game but remain invisible until we reload the game. They take the map space and leave no room for other players to join. The lobby is considered to be "full" and nobody can join. It basically is destroying alll our games. Harrison there are 2 major bugs which havnt been fixed (its been well over a week now)

1. Someone some how has acceess to all map codes been made
2. Theres a way to join maps where they cant be seen by anyone ingame and only after reloading is tht person visible. This makes booting really slow and impractical if someone spam joins games this way

Multiple gameplay issues affecting hitbox, weapon ammo display, and input registration.

1. Miniegg Hitbox Bug

Description:
After exiting the Miniegg KS bonus, the player sometimes retains the miniegg-sized hitbox even though the egg visually returns to normal size. Happens to me about 10 to 20% of the time.

2. Ammo Display / Sync Bug

Description:
When switching rapidly to the pistol from an empty main weapon (commonly with CS and RPG), the pistol temporarily displays the main weapon’s ammo.

Shows incorrect ammo (from main weapon)
Requires reload
Fixes itself after a few seconds

3. Input Not Registered ("No Click" Bug)

Description:
Occasionally, firing/clicking does nothing—input is not registered.

Notes:

Happens intermittently
Occurs even with a brand new mouse (hardware issue ruled out)

Additional observation / hypothesis:
These issues seem to occur during rapid state changes (weapon swap, firing, exiting miniegg), which suggests possible client/server desynchronization or tick timing issues.

It feels like actions performed during a server tick/update window may:

Not be registered properly (input dropped)
Apply partially (state mismatch)
Use stale data (ammo/hitbox inconsistencies)

This could indicate:

Missing input buffering
Race conditions between client prediction and server reconciliation
Or improper state validation during transitions

Miniegg hitbox I was aware of, as that one is fairly self-expanatory. it was the other two I wasn't sure about, as "no click bug" could be a number of things and wanted to know the specific so i could reply best. Similar to ammo bug. Now that I know:

• miniegg issue is hopefully fixed next patch; hard one to say with certainty as it's not a 100% reproduction on every mini-egg, but if it's not, might just remove that killstreak as a whole.
• Ammo glitch has indeed been around awhile, and to be honest, it probably won't get fixed; it doesn't happen to everyone and it doesnt happen every time, so taking guesses and then taking a shot at fixing it and hoping every month wasn't really doing anything.
• no click bug is likely not a mouse issue itself but moreso a latency/polling thing. A click is likely being registered at a time where information is sent and therefore gets missed. Could be any manor of local issues such as mouse being too advanced and having a compatability issue with a non-hitscan web game, or an unreliable internet connection dropping a packet, or a computer having a spike in system usage.

I can say that I personally have never had any of those three issues happen to me

I’ve also seen cases where the desync lasts several seconds (even up to ~5–6s), like dropping from a roof and dying to someone on the roof long after I’m already on the floor on my screen.

That makes me think it might not just be input timing or polling, but a longer client/server disagreement where position and state aren’t being reconciled quickly.

The other issues (no-click, ammo, miniegg hitbox) seem to happen during those same windows, so they might be symptoms of that larger desync rather than separate problems.

And hey, I was wondering if there are any plans to move Shell Shockers to WebGPU in the future?

I know it’s a big change, but I’m curious if the engine might eventually be modernized for performance and timing improvements.

Another bug, when you try spawn in too quick, it just doesn’t spawn you and you can’t click anything and stuck with the guns and play option screen till you press escape and have to wait another 5 seconds +ads. It’s a problem in competitive kotcs

Blanks happen because the game lets the server double-check hits with both players to stay fair for people with slower connections. It avoids unfair instant deaths, but sometimes that means your hit doesn’t count. @terse lily
