I've tried my hand at making a browser game, and I actually have an answer for this. Because browser games are so limited in their size, they can only be so big, and therefore are often limited to small maps, limited gamemodes and are overall not as diverse. I think if you could figure out how to remove that barrier, maybe by making something open-world or a lot more expansive, it would feel way more premium and like a "real game" if that makes sense.
