Even my driving wasn't perfect that last lap... Some early signs:

• Driving close to the corners is imperitive, even if you get bumped it doesn't seem to affect time much
• Taking the ramp from the middle seems to help you get there - like the longer you are on the ramp (due to the diagonal) the easier the jump is

We're doing another pass on the UI but we'll let you know here when it does

as far as i know:
garden, ancient and space have intentional shortcuts.
oasis, garden, clouds, space and desert have unintended shortcuts that can be done by jumping off the track and respawning or landing a different place.
snow, garden, candyland and desert have unintended shortcuts that can be done by using a mine to jump over walls

Basically, fall off of the left side of the second ramp, time the turbo to avoid a blue wizard zone that will auto pick you up to land on the lower part of the track. This saves about 10s a lap. Easier to do with multiple turbos, but if you want to optimize you have to do the hard version.

the lakitu zones are so weird imo. like sometimes theyre certain places and sometimes theyre not. 2 days after time trials came out this guy was able to do this skip which i thought had been patched months prior but apparantly not on that specific day or something because now its patched again somehow??? also i was able to get the skip you discovered on jungle ONCE on my first try and then it never worked again its so weird

Some things make it easier. If you swing wide on the previous turn you have more time to line it up. Higher handing and boost also helps.

does drifting slow ur car or no, i dont know if its placebo or what but my fastest laps are when i drift a lot but it feels like it slows my car down
