if you have shadow you can actively take cover behind monsters, i've done it a couple times.

it's quite funny

and because the chance is always higher than 0% i will keep shooting people at 250 meters away with my pistol, because the one day i get the headshot, i will have the coolest clip ever.
i started doing this when they added infinite headshot range for pistols and i think my furthest headshot kill with pistols is not much past 100 meters, but i will keep trying! eventually it will happen! surely

Difficult to quantify the MMR-contribution of a weapon, but this is honestly not the worst idea lol. Loadout significantly impacts how well you perform

basically an MMR attached to how well you do with a given weapon (only 1/2/3 slots and regardless of specials ammo)
so if you’re a sniper and having kills, you can get matched with idk other players that are "equally good" with a springfield, for example

it’s NOT loadout based matchmaking

just... if you do well with a weapon, you rank up with that weapon
if you do garbage, you go down... but not the other weapons

so if you go idk to hammer from a heavy snipy session that brought you to MMR6

well you keep the goofy MMR3 lobby with just the hammer

They aren't guaranteed in Vanilla Hunt, no, just a chance for them to spawn. The sealed weapon box does have a fixed spawn spot at the burnt-convoy or in the bileweaver compound (Not sure about the Fool's hideout rn), being 50/50 if it's the Homestead or the Wildland
