This bullshit really needs to stop. The fact that during Inferno, without a stamina boost, you have to sprint across the entire damn map once every 4 minutes, dodge some nearly invincible creatures along the way, and then get shot down by some damn griefer who instantly headshots you from 70 meters away—that just can’t be right.
On top of that, hit detection is still handled by the client instead of the server. Ping abuse made easy.
Then there are Hives shuffling around on the server that can’t be damaged by shots or throwing spears, even at close range. Same goes for Grunts and Armored. The projectiles just fly right through their bodies. The term “hitbox” apparently has no meaning here.
The fact that the “events” are pure festivals for cheaters, griefers, and ping abusers, and that even after 8 years there’s still no decent PvE alternative to the completely pointless PvP, doesn’t make Hunt any better.
How many times has the UI been redesigned to make it more user-friendly? 12 times? 15 times? I stopped counting at 8. Doesn’t anyone test this BEFORE putting it online?
And why the hell do all teams have to spawn virtually permanently in an area of 100 square meters? The map is big enough.
Back in the day—way back—there was one open exit on each side of the map. So just throw in a closed exit in the middle, for all I care. Done.
