This is going to be obvious but I will list stuff the consistent stuff I find other teams. Straight up spotted another team. Hearing something, wether it's AI dying, Gunshots, Hunters making nosies, Footsteps, someone swapping weapons and so on and so on.
This leads to what people usually mistake for camping, or "playing stealth"
Many people like to ambush when you find out another team is most likely going to cross path with you, by any number of reasons that makes you notice there is another team and they are probably in a greyed out area and you're slightly ahead of them. Whatever, they will cross path with you and you set up an ambush, and if you lose this ambush it's a skill issue.

Okay, I'll humour this thought process and bring up another;

I watch a good bit of the content creation surrounding this game. there's a lot of enjoyable players to watch. Take Rexnor, who is doing solo v trios, who's running a silenced maynard + a bow for his "stealth" loadouts. Where is he fitting into this category? He's not camping- he's a very active player, sniping, repositioning.

He's also aggressive and uses the bow to it's potential in cqc, but he very often gets caught out due to game sense.. plus having silenced weapons. So, where is he fitting in this equation?

I ask, because I play very similarly.

Earlier today I got 6 kills. 3 with a katana, wiped the team. I just ran up to them, two of them seemed shocked and stared and I think the third either had bad aim or saw my team mate and was shooting them. The other three was with berthier marksman using incendiary ammo. (I think that's the name of the gun. Berthier? It has 3 rounds and a wasteful reload.)
