Before a thousand recommendations gets thrown at you factor two things:

• "Gaming headsets" are usually not worth the price vs quality, but there are some outliers.
• When getting high-end headphones, ensure that you desktop/set-up can support it unless you are willing to also invest into a DAC or AMP.

I find IEMs pretty meh for gaming in soundengines that are decently advanced like Hunt's.
You loose a lot of the HRTF related spatial cues on IEMs

I got the 280 of an recommendation and I do feel they leave a lot to be desired for Hunt gaming a lot of low-end frequencies I feel get lost, but also pretty sure I'm partial deaf sooo.
And for the podcaster, I've tried many over the years, but always come back to this one, but I will conceed that it was THE best back when USB microphones were sorta new'ish and they are sturdy and last for like 11 years.
But also sure you can find better for same, if not cheaper nowadays.

Ouh, here is a funny thing with the HD800, it has great imaging, but it has poor layering.

The HD800 pretty much pushes everything to the borders of it's soundstage

So everything sounds equally far away

If a game uses a HRTF based soundengine I find the HD800 to be a pretty poor performer personally

people are skipping clues for various reasons. one of them being people can see they've picked up a clue there. getting the 2 clue token spots minimizes risk/reward
