every shotgun's buckshot deals the exact same raw damage

Mosin base damage is 105 rounded up, which gives you clean 126 of lower torso damage at 1.2 multiplier, but 136.5 at the upper torso of 1.3, and we know it does 136, so it's rounded down at the end

like we have less of a innate reliance on headshots bc of hte limb modifer changes, but that removes some "skill" from hunt and rewards poor aim placement
we have more "balanced" pen but it just makes it feel super weak w/o the right ammo
we have better trade windows by a long shot, that alone has zero downsides and is a net positive
ammo economy and weapon balance has slightly changed, with pistols/2 slots having more staying power than 3 slot rifles- arguement can be taken in either direction really

i dont think there is as true answer, but everyone will have their opinions for sure

fun fact, explosive bolts have zero damage dropoff on the projectile itself, which means that legshots are always lethal at any range (without bulwark) :) and upper chest is always lethal, even with bulwark

mako is just the better choice for their skill level and fighting range
