• People assume they should be able to by their favorite expensive loadout every match.

Vulture is crazy good. just take it every single round, no exceptions and eventually you will get tons of free loots even if you didn't had to kill them all on your own.
Vulture even makes clash profitable.

if you barely break even before, vulture will push you easily into rapid profits.

and you will even loot money even if you are not full on tools/consumables

That said, still think the buy-in for a round is too high due to the difference between bad and good consumables is night and day.

Favourite compromise I've thought of so far is a per-hunter budget that increases with hunter level.

So for e.g. level 1 hunter can have up to 1000$ budget, level 50 hunter up to $10000. Maybe you could increase a hunter's budget manually by spending their trait points @normal kayak

Risk vs reward, them being important poits of interest should be a sign for everyone that there may be traps or people around so you should keep that in mind and play around if you want the loot in there. Or you don't take the risk and don't get the reward. Plenty of ways to check for traps and you can check the perimeter for people pretty quick

If it's a general skill thing, you can summon hunter bots in the shooting range to practice scoped shooting on.

it's really just experience, sooner or later you'll be able to identify ranges and how much you need to lead with specific ammo types, like subsonic vs high velocity

it'll be easier for you if take a centennial sniper with no HV to imitate the muzzle velocity of the maynard sniper HV

that way you'll be able to shoot faster, and identify how much you need to lead with the both guns

the faster you can shoot, the more practice you're going to get

versus one important shot and a 4 second reload

if you shoot with a centennial sniper with no hv, you'll be able to shoot a maynard with hv perfectly

you want to play around velocities and learn how much you lead in different situations

after playing the centennial you'll realize you can be a lot more aggressive with your shots, and when you switch to maynard you'll learn to pick when to shoot. If you want to practice maynard subsonic, equip the infantry sniper with subsonic to simulate the subsonic maynard

It would better fit its strength level. 3 slot would mean you can't use it as a backup alongside other strong weapons, and increasing the price enough would make it as likely to be used as Romero Shorty with slugs. It's busted primarily because the cost of running it is too low for what it offers.
