The prestige system pushes you too much to use it even if you don’t like it; not being level 100 makes it feel like you’re not progressing and that your account is worthless. That’s a shame, especially with the unlock system, which makes most of the equipment barely usable since everything resets once you reach level 100.

Definitely don't try duos, it's another smaller pool of players on top of console and us west both being smaller pools than PC and US East/EU.
If the ping difference isn't too bad, try hopping to US East during the afternoon and see if that cuts matchmaking times down a bit. Also, gaining MMR will eventually get you into the bracket where most other people are and matchmaking gets a bit faster.

When I need to level a specific hunter for their variants, I go into “pve mode” and take dual silenced pistols and the chokukukuku into a match and kill just big monsters or a wild target now if I’m lucky enough. Plus towers for xp boons
