I think this gameplay is what keeps me coming back time and time again. There are so many different things that can happen in each match and it makes it fun and worth playing. From trying different weapons, to all kinds of different Ai, the different bosses and their weaknesses. This is what makes Hunt so different than other games in my opinion. I've been playing since the Beta and I love it, it keeps me coming back 8 years later.

I'm saying that while you're fighting other hunters, their numbers aren't decreasing, and they're attacking you simultaneously, disrupting your rhythm. Do you understand what I mean? There are too many of them, and they appear around you at any time, multiple at a time.

I've never in my 4k+ hrs seen AI spawn around you as you fight other things

Only if you're in range of said AI. If you quickly get rid of the AI, or don't fight in those areas, you will have less problems with AI screwing up your fights. They also do not just appear out of nowhere unless they are the little hellspawn spiders.

And if you're in a fight and AI crashes the party, shoot them. Most AI are taken out pretty quick with one shot.

and even then 95% of the time they're spawning way before I can get to the compound itself

But I encountered this, especially the insect woman, the hellhound, and the man on fire. They would all appear around you at the same time, and you would suddenly be attacked by them. While you were fighting other hunters, you had to take the time to kill these damn monsters first.

That's just a perk, and chances are the enemies know where you are anyway from the AI being agro'd if you weren't already shooting at the enemies anyway

And if they reveal you, then move again and rotate.

at best they know where you were last and bare minimum your general location from AI targeting you

Stealth is NOT that crucial at all times

You will make noise, other people will make noise. Just sprinting is much louder than you might think

And once a fight breaks out, just shoot

I always have chokes so I don't really feel the need for bottles.
But when it came to lanterns back when flares and fusses didn't burn bodies I've honestly played the game too much to check and memorise any lanterns I've encountered and where they can spawn. There'd also guaranteed lantern spawns

It wasn't a problem to find lanterns to burn players

But people like making a problem bigger than it is

That seems to make some sense. At least when I encounter AI enemies, I prioritize attacking them regardless of whether other hunters are attacking me nearby, because I use a Type 78 shotgun and prefer close-range combat.
