Reshade has 2 versions, one that's meant to be "friendly" with multiplayer and one thats meant for singleplayer games. That said, they may ban it anyway. Ask the devs.

reshade is banned on hunt after the community (rightfully) yelled at them to get it banned. The version I'm using would the addon which is the non friendly version because ffxiv just doesn't care what you do as long as you don't yap about it to the public.

I don't get the whole "shotguns don't need skill" or "snipers don't need skill" arguments, both require skill to some level and yes even shotguns require aim. If you don't hit proper center of mass you often don't kill in one shot, and at close range you often have to make larger mouse movements to line up shots

Yeah, I agree to that. It takes more skill than most of us assume to really take advantage of long ammo advantages. Close and medium range it doesn’t matter as much because even with a compact like the 73 you deal over 2/3 of player health damage in one good torso hit

They’ll hate me for this but I wish hunt had player movement more like Tarkov. The thing I dislike about hunt showdown the MOST is the janky arena style 2000s game player movement. It’s painfully comical to watch two players fight each other as an observing third party. Looks terrible and goes against the immersive design of every other aspect of the game hard. Like a carrot baked into a cinnamon roll.
