it is more realistic that way, to put it simply, you actually load the rounds in preparation to shoot a firearm into the magazine, and then when you cycle the first round of the magazine into the chamber you would have one empty slot at the end of the mag. in most shooter games i've played there is always 1 round less than true max capacity until you do a partial reload.

The number is your MMR value in numbers. When you kill people, your number goes up, and when you die to people, your number goes down. 1 star is any MMR between 0 and 1,999. 2 star is any MMR between 2,000 and 2,299, etc.
