Disconnecting isn't dying to a player, so it does not give you a player death
In fact, this was a strategy used by so-called "K/D farmers" back in the day, specifically back when there was a global leaderboard for certain stats, including K/D. Before the reconnect feature was a thing, if you Alt + F4'd your game, your hunter would die within a second, on the spot, awarding nobody a kill and therefore saving your precious, precious K/D.

Some players would load into Quickplay matches, sneak around for the entire match until they found a scoped rifle, then they would sit hundreds of meters away and attempt to headshot kill the person with the wellspring, and anyone else they might see. The moment anyone shot back at them, they would instantly Alt + F4 their game, boot it back up, and repeat the process until they had a K/D that they deemed high enough, or until they died once (new account) in which case they would stop playing to avoid risking a second death, which would slice their K/D in half.

yeah, all fights are predictable, medium shotguns need a nerf or quartermaster needs to become scarce trait but like being able to run rifle and shotgun at the same time is just too broken and it jsut gets old
