Yeah you basically need a premade to play duos unless you're doing solo vs duos. And as a 6 star your duos matches will be basically empty unless you can hop into Russian or South American servers where they don't care who they put you in with.

Duos has been dead for at least 2-3 years for high ELO players. I'm talking top 5%, the matches have always been on the dead side.
When they bumped everyone up in MMR about a year back it semi fixed the issue, but not entirely.

If I solo into duos in East or West, the most teams I'll ever see is 2

Unforgiving, no room for error. I was in the top 300 players in the world for a year and a half.
Every lobby was the same sets of guys over and over duos or trios for months on end.
90% of shots fired were headshots, if you missed you died essentially.

Huge fight between all teams starts, our random 3rd looted 3 cash registers in circus and ran to Cypress to extract.. in the end we wiped the whole lobby, but it still makes you mad, like why waste time waiting for trio just to leave after looting a cash

Playing with friends in hunt in 2026 be like: you start equipping a hunter. The UI bugs, you can't select the right hunter, some others for some reason are displayed as empty. While you're editing, a teammate switches the game mode, you're back in the lobby. You start equipping, the UI bugs again. When you're done, you press start. But one of the teammates is afk because he pressed Ready and went for a smoke before the game mode was changed. After 5 minutes he's back, you start the game. It lags, disconnects you. You reconnect, but you're already dead along with the team. Back to the menu, but the last game results aren't visible. Why? Because. You start editing, teammate switches the game mode again, you're back at the lobby, the UI bugs again.
