There's a hurtbox for the knife and hitbox for what you are hitting, the hurtbox gets enabled for X amount of time when you attack where it checks which hitboxes it collides with and applied damage, the time it's enabled seems to be long enough where you can drag it across multiple hitboxes and they count, but I have no idea what happens with the damage math at that point since it clearly increases damage over base damage when you do it but even though you are also hitting the head it's not doing enough to kill

Intended behavior is likely for it to do just the upper torso damage
