Many of them play in a very similar way, and my friends and I call them “Grandpas.” However, being a grandpa is not only age, but also playing style. Let me explain.

Their most common feature is their loadouts:

• a typical grandpa plays with some kind of rifle (Winfield, Mosin, etc.) with a shorty shotgun (Grandpus pospolitus)

• another version of grandpa is some kind of rifle with a chain pistol on a fanning (Grandpus fanningus)

Grandpas have an easy playstyle to recognize:

-they care more about leaving with a bounty than fighting, they always rush to the extract when they see an opportunity; many times we have had a situation where we are fighting wit another team at a boss location, and the grandpas escape through the back exit and run like hell to the exit with bounty

-the most annoying behavior of grandpas is running to the extract at the other end of the map instead of fighting, chasing them takes forever, but killing them gives great satisfaction

-when they start the game on a small boss and kill it, instead of moving on to fight with other players, they camp on the boss and wait to escape to their beloved exit

-they don't use subsonic ammunition for silenced weapons

-affter adding tarto cards, their favorite card is World

-they often choose tomahawks and flares as their equipment

It's also easy to recognize grandpas by their Steam profiles.

believe it or not, trading was community requested YEARS ago, but engine limitations at the time had to have it be a massive window. ie a guy halfway in the air dying would still shoot you. that shit sucked

now trading means you clicked at essentially the same time, sub 1/10s of a second is a very very small window
