But yeah to sum up (for anyone else who is interested), we tested in the shooting range, PvP on and by standing close to the target, which was standing still, to get the most consistent results. This is our observations:

• Hitting head/upper torso kills the target slower compared to aiming at the groin.
• You get 25hp charred before dying, so all small bars or big bars, you are 50hp down when you dead.
• Salveskin seemed not to have any effect, tho further testing is needed.

if you want to be using this thing at "range", like just burning them to be annoying or to deny them an angle, the right play seems to be

1. Only spend around half of the pressure gaige, you wont hit any of the shots fired from the last half of it anyways, and the pressure gaige supports partial reloading, so just pump that thing constantly
2. stick to high ground, duh. Projectiles can fly further and are easier to aim

except wallbanging requires precision and knowing a rough idea where they are behind that cover, spraying over cover just requires spraying in the general direction and the fire makes that cover not an option anymore. and using bombs gives time to react and uses a valuable resource

Good real good if you know what your doing, I torched the bear in half a second, it can kill in about 1 sec if you aim it correcttly against a hunter and even if you don't it insta burns a bar, + it only costs 1 point. as a guy that mained pyro in tf2 it feels very simler if not better.
