that alone is alr strong considering all it takes is 1 splash to put you into the 1 tap zone of most guns to the torso

the distance of the jet of flame alr exceeds the 1 tap distance of 2 slot shottys and maybe 3 slotters... remember buckshot based shotguns can only 1 tap up to like 14 or 15 (romero)

combine that with the fact you only need a short tick of exposure to eat off someone's bar to leave them vulnerable to a 1 tap from a rifle in cqc and its joever

I'm fairly convinced at this point that I might be the worlds most inconsistent 5-6* player

1. Buckshot deals damage that can be healed back,

2. you are constrained by the weapons rate of fire when pushing

whereas with a flamethrower
any damage you deal can't be healed back if it surpasses the bar threshhold

Ie a small bar can be permanently destroyed to lower a hunter down to 1 tap range for most endgame/meta primary weapons

buckshot pellets/slugs or whatever lose damage over distance

the ability for incendiary stuff to proc burns doesn't lower with distance

So, you could theoretically aim upwards and still cause chunk damage to guys further away than you could traditionally with a spray of buckshot

I go 50% dbreath and 50% buckshot

dbreath for when I'm out of 1 tap range but I need to suppress someone or chunk their bars off

Burning should be for stalemates in my imo, not the norm. I don't enjoy that that is no longer the case, but instead burning is just the next step in the process as fast as possible. That's why I find it to be a problem that it's so accessible now with flare gun. Just my thoughts, clearly I'm in the minority 😂
