I'm not 100% sure but I feel like the root cause of most of the delays and clunky feeling when trying to just stop aiming/shooting after shooting/aiming is when they nerfed quickswap since IIRC they made it so that you have to wait for the animations to finish to "not cancel recoil"

And I know it's a controversial topic from back then, I'm sure many people here still think quickswap was the work of a devil or something, but one thing is clear and that is that the swapping of guns and all that was smoother back then

I agree, but issue is just it was a mechanic that back then (and still today) was mechanic that mostly benefitted the already strongest weapons in the game which were balanced around slower cycle rates.

That said, I've said it before and I will still advocate for it, quickswap speed just need to be tied to weapon stats (and combined), so long ammo rifles swaps slower into an uppercut compared to a medium barrel shotgun swapping into a nagant.

Bounty reveals where you are at all times (negative)

I mean, as if people don't have pretty much infinite stamina/regen active anyways now that 4 shot boons are pretty much always in the game and there's cards like judgement that double your buffs and stam/regen shot still giving plenty of duration when used in an actual fight rather than just being able to pop them at spawn and not care

Genuinely been there - Solo is much easier, imo, especially if you queue into trio's.
Sure, you have other disadvantages. But the rush of engaging a trio and holding your own is AWESOME.

Just tell yourself that you're going to farm PvE and skirt around combat is how I did it. Never drop without my trusty Chu Ko Nu since its a PvE beast.

I just had the weirdest clash.
Duo in top of farm. Both with barbed bows. Bastards.
Literally all they shot at me, filled the entire barn!

But, at one point I got one through the floor with a dynamite. Bounty dropped.
It was then picked up by a 3rd party who yeeted to the extract. I assumed it was one of the duo (I thought they were a trio) and 2 sacrificed themselves to get the bounty out.

Wasn't until we went to team details after the fight that I found out it was a solo that yoinked the bounty! First time ive every seen serpent used so quickly or effectively. Didn't even know the coward was there.

It did for a short moment, the Louisiana Incursion began in 1894 progresses throughout 1895 (though it spent 6 irl years in the summer of 1895) and then culminates in Desolation and then early 1896 the Colorado discovery happens - then there's a timeskip to August 1896 when Hunters arrive which is kinda ???. After that, time has frozen again, perpetually the summer of 1896 until lore begins again.
They're free to go backwards and forwards in telling stories since the frame of reference is a historian in the far future collecting records relating to these events and trying to understand it.

The lore hasn't progressed to 1898 however, that idea came from a trick of the light on a circus ticket from the most recent Murder Circus trailer. The ticket more likely says 1893 as that would be back when the Circus was still alive and printing tickets. A corrupted hellscape circus doesn't need to print tickets after all.
