The game is very fun but it does get stale in its current state imo. Definitely worth 40 bucks still. I very much enjoyed it and I’m not upset about it even if I were to never play it again as it was really good especially with friends. But for me atleast it’s not a long term game currently. The expedition (wipe) is disappointing and the loot becomes meaningless after a bit as you only really need to loot like 5-10 different things and ignore everything else so it’s just PvP. But its current state it’s practically only free kits so no point bringing a full kit which made it fizzle out for me and my group

At 10m shotguns get unreliable due to pellet spread. Your aim was probably slightly off or something was between you and the other hunter so not enough pellets hit for the kill.

Without a video the exact cause can't be determined but your shot was blocked or off. Can even happen at point blank when aiming is off. When half your pellets hit a wooden beam or something you wont 1 Hit Kill. It's frustrating but that's how shotguns work, happens from time to time.

whitelist a few folders in your windows defender/antivirus; the main hunt showdown folder located in steamapps/common, both EAC folders located in program files 86, and the EAC folder in the main hunt folder first mentioned.

always aim center at upper torso with shotguns.

Soul Survivor (Quickplay back then) was the hot new thing back when the game was adding in Steam Achievements around the 1.0 Release so when choosing what achievements the game should have they put some focus on the game mode. Nowadays the mode is pretty defunct but they couldn't have known where it'd end up.
