There are 1-6 stars, keep in mind they are not ranks!
When you queue up for a game, the game is gonna try match-make you with people around your player skill (or star), tho the match-making prefer short queue times over 100% fair ones.
You can see your "MMR Star" after every round of Hunt in the post-game screen as shown in this picture (just gonna use your screen cap as an example @empty crow):
