There are 4 different maps, whenever you load into a lobby it rolls an equal 25% chance for one of them

Maps are not easier or harder akin to other extraction shooters, just different

Its also worth noting that each map will have a random weather pattern applied.
For example, you could spawn in with heavy rain, which reduces the range you can hear stuff. Or mist, which reduces visibility for all players on the map.

Im still relatively new (couple months) and its different from other extractions.
While there is 'meta' weapons. Most people don't stick to them because EVERY weapon is viable. For example, I'm running the Chu Ko nu right now. Apparently its bad, but I love it.

At first you'll take some cheap loadouts, because its all you can affoard. But youll quickly make some cash and be able to bring some more expensive weapons.
I feel like Crytek tried to balance around weapon cost, but really thats a minor inconvenience after 10-20 games.
As losing a $1.5k loadout is whatever at that point.

I really love that we don't need to worry about the "loot" here and can focus on objectives and exploration. Your skills matter the most, not amout of gear you amassed

What experienced hunters have over you is experience.
They know the compounds, they know the maps and can guage distance of gunfire better.
They can also differentiate a Centiennial vs a Shotgun at a distance to make a decision on how they want to engage them.
So, yes, engaging experienced players is harder, but its experience/skill. Not anything theyve bought .

mythicals will never come back in their original form, but Crytek has re released some reskins and recolors of older mythical skins and they might add more in the future.

As much as I agree with exclusivity, there should be a limit on it.
Even if the skins became available in a 'loot box' system, like the boxes in the latest Twitch giveaways.
Exclusivity shouldnt be to the detriment of new players, but it should be rare to keep the perception.

For example skin releases 2023 - becomes available randomly via X system in 2025. 2 years of being exclusive should be sufficient.

I think one problem is that Crytek advertised those skins as exclusive and they don't want to break their word, there might even be some legal implications.
luckily they have dialed down the amount of mythic skins a lot in more recent events. and most new skins are not released as mythic rarity.

Its because they had massive issues with people account rotating. so they would basically have multiple accounts and swap around for easier opponents after a "break" in game time. To fix this they simply removed the "returning player" mmr drop and only kept the new player exploit availible.

The point. Throwing knives are a silent weapon, irl. In the game they are utterly impractical in PvP, and are a stealth weapon. But to use them in their effective range, they aren't stealth anymore. So, if you don't wipe the trio, or if you miss with the first shot, you are very much gonna be in serious trouble. As someone who throws knives, that is one mild gripe I have. The second, is that we throw gripping the blade... or "half-spin." There is a full spin throw, and a no spin throw, and both of those are far more practical in actual combat. Yet the game chose a half spin throw. I use no-spin, generally, which is the most practical style of throwing. Because you hold it by the handle, and don't need to calculate rotation. So you don't have to flip the damned thing every time you stab with it.

Small gripes, based on desire for realism, and of course as a thrower, I want to wipe lobbies with throwing knives. Some day I hope to be able to anyway, but it's harder by their lack of stealth.
