But now that everything is unlocked at rank 1 I don't really see a difference in what I would pick compared to being rank 100

yea. i used to do it in 6 star solo. But that was when my enemies was 3-4 star. eventually i kept climbing and when i finally hit 6 star enemies while solo, i stopped playing to win and have only been trolling since. 6 star enemies are just too good in this game and i dont want to be up against those instant headshots. So now i run melee only, or my current setup which is derringer + bat with the grandma skin. This allows me to perfom poorly enough as a solo trio to stay in the 3-4 area without actively deranking. its just a self nerf.

Did they change the health chunks for recruiting hunter? I used to get 3 full health chunks now it's like 1 full and the rest are small

Note that it don't work on gifted hunters, so if you get one through dark tribute or twitch drops, the bars will always be random

Took like 2 hours to get daily dark tribute. Half of the tribute came from one game.

Engaged with team near spawn while two other teams were fighting over boss token. We killed the team Once the bounty team extracted we were able to track down other boss token on the empty map. Also picked up witness so we did a loop of the wagons and then went to site of boss token battle and looted the bodies there.

In the upcoming patch release notes, they mentioned changes to the map & compass. I really hope they add more info to the map screen. I'd like the compass, boss/clue status, event points, status effect timers, and everything to be located there.

As a fairly new player - Id argue EVERY weapon is viable.
Most weapons have a unique feel when playing with them. Whether thats reload style, ammo capacity/load, muzzle velocity etc.
Id recommed starting with something thats easy to wrap your head around and is forgiving (not single shot like sparks).
Frontier, Centennial are good starting points for your 'main' weapon imo.
Take Levering for hip fire and any sidearm you want.
I love the hand crossbow personally because its a silent kill for NPC's and chokes/fire are good utility.

Me and my buddy have been checking towers for the past 3 weeks and have not found a single explossive crossbow ammo box.

It's a scarce ammo type.. So you have to go in every round with a crossbow, with a loadout made for explosive bolts, hoping you find the rarest ammo type in a box. We've found over 60 spitzer ammo and 80 subsonic ammo boxes in that time frame.
Why wouldn't they have just nerfed it into the ground, i would have prefered using a shit weapon versus never being allowed to use it ever again
