Do I think they were added as well as they could have been? Yes

They don't feel as lame cash-grabbey as collabs from other games where they stick licensed shit in without any effort

Overall I'm kind of indifferent to them being added. I've also never felt like they're something to be worried about with the future of Hunt

And honestly some of the hunters they've added since PM's Murder Circus have been some of the coolest ones added

It isn't that I dislike post malone or even the choice to make an event like that, moreso that everything they did that event was uninspired. No new guns, all variants. The one unique gun they added was busted beyond all measure. They took almost the entirety of three months to nerf blademancer, they buffed steel bolts to where they are a complete upgrade in every way. They put his initials on every gun, instantly uglifying them. It wasn't that it was post malone, it was uninspired, lazy, woefully inadequate, so poorly thought out that you'd think they just did it mindlessly, and a complete betrayal to the atmosphere of hunt. A circus could have been pulled off better, however I would say they did it... with mediocrity. I could definitely see better being done.

I'm sure many of you will resonate with this. And many will not. I enjoy that about hunt. Multiple perspectives.

I know 99% of you don't care about lore but hear this out. When ghostface came out and there was a rage, they had very shortly beforehand axed the lore from the game so then they shipped out GF, ofc a rage started and crytek decided to make community posts in response basically saying they don't care they're adding it anyway BUT all collabs will be here to "enrich the narrative" so okay... maybe the narrative is coming back. Then we get PM shortly after, and again they don't see a fucking way to make this modern day dude fit so they completely fucking reuse the tide of corruption event story and switch the characters around to the PM circus people. Then crytek when asked about the lore blows people off saying things like "you can go to a 3rd party website for lore" just blatantly blowing people off

conceptually I don't agree with the idea that the game has been significantly casualised. It still has brutal TTK. mistakes can and still are regularly punished by instant death. Strategy and positioning and team coordination are still key

both have some use, relentless lets you burn longer before you're fully burnt out, and resilience can save you from a poison cloud tick since the restoration happens ever so slightly after you are able to take damage (although sometimes you survive poison anyways, it's inconsistent)
