A few things to note at first:
You will be matched against some bots until you reach rank 11.
Try to avoid shooting unecesarily such as at AI, it makes noise across the entire map and it wastes ammo.
Don't crouch peek or peek the same angle too many times in the same way, it makes you a very easy target. Don't fall into the habit of never moving because "stealth"

How hunters work is basically just skins if you hire a specific hunter skin that you have bought (legendary hunters) you get 10 trait point and can spend them on whatever traits, also you buy your loadout unless its a free hunter who always have medkit, melee, weapons and a random consumable

The chariot is an interesting idea but the reality of tarot card distribution means that most games will never see it used.
Ultimately losing a bar is a minor side effect to using it compared to the larger side effect of its existence - one of the three extractions is permanently locked in most matches.

The nest and the bileweavers will disappear at the end of the event, replaced with a different 17th compound that pops up in different areas. The scarce guns and tarot cards will continue to exist, though like the Bileweavers they might disappear for a time before they are properly reintroduced. Any of the scarce items still in your inventory will remain.

Yup, it'll be a different compound design and might have different rewards but most of them will stick around. The boons, the cash register, the health restoration, those are near guaranteed to be present. The weapon crate with the scarce weapons and the board with the tarot cards are a maybe on still being around, as well as the Destiny's Dial.
